Malakai Black Makes Appearance at Indie Event, Comments on His Break from AEW & Wrestling Career
As noted before, Malakai Black is currently believed to have been granted his release request from AEW following AEW’s All Out 2022 event earlier this month. The reason is currently rumored to be due to serious personal-related issues that Black has been dealing with that has led to him considering the idea of taking a long break from his wrestling career and possibly even retirement as an option.
Black competed in his first match since AEW’s All Out 2022 event for Prestige Pro Wrestling at their event this past Saturday in Pomona, California. Following his victory over Kid Bandit, Black gave a speech to the crowd asking his fans to give him “a few weeks, a few months to recalibrate myself … I promise you that this is not goodbye, this is ‘We will see each other soon.”

AEW Revolution 2023 Reportedly Planned to Take Place in San Francisco
AEW reportedly is currently planning for next year’s Revolution event to take place in San Fransisco, California, according to Fightful Select.
It was reported that their sources stated that AEW officials currently have tentative plans for their Revolution 2023 event to take place at the Cow Palace in San Francisco. It was also reported that the potential date for this upcoming event is currently not known.
Should this end up being the actual venue, this would be the first time that the Cow Palace will host a wrestling event since New Japan Pro Wrestling’s G1 Special in San Francisco event in July of 2018.
