Becky Lynch Injury Status Update
As noted before, Becky Lynch is currently out of action for WWE due to a shoulder injury she suffered at last month’s SummerSlam 2022 event in Nashville, Tennessee.
Lynch recently provided an injury update on Instagram stating that she has recently regained more mobility in her arm and is currently hopeful of being able to return within the near future.
“I feel like I’ve gotten a bunch more mobility in it, because when it happened, it was so painful that I was like, oh no, I’m gonna be out for a long, long time but now it’s healing up real quick, I’m feeling strong, I’m feeling good so, I’m hoping it won’t be much time at all.”
More on Vince McMahon’s Secret $5 Million Payments
As noted before, WWE’s Board of Directors have been conducting an on-going investigation against former WWE CEO and Chairman Vince McMahon over allegations of sexual misconduct and secret “hush money” payments towards several former female employees and at least one talent. WWE’s Board also recently discovered an additional $5 million in secret payments that were not related to these allegations against him.
Wall Street Journal reported that their sources confirmed that the $5 million secret payments by McMahon was for the Donald J. Trump Foundation. It was reported that the payments were made in exchange for Trump’s appearances at WrestleMania 23 in 2007 and several WWE RAW shows in 2009.
In regards to Trump’s appearance at WrestleMania 23, it was reported that “A person who reviewed Mr. Trump’s contract for the WrestleMania appearance said that Mr. Trump directed Mr. McMahon to send a $4 million appearance fee to Mr. Trump’s charity. Mr. Trump had his associates review the contract to ensure that under no circumstances would Mr. McMahon be allowed to shave his head, even if Mr. Trump’s wrestler dropped dead in the ring, this person said.”
In regards to the RAW shows in 2009, this was part of the dropped storyline that saw Trump “purchase” the RAW brand from McMahon.
