Nick Wayne Safe After Plane Bomb Scare Incident in Europe
A plane flight carrying indies and AEW talent Nick Wayne and his mother among its 266 passengers was involved in a bomb scare incident earlier today in Europe, according to AirLive.net.
It was reported that this flight was traveling from Frankfurt, Germany to Seattle, Washington but was diverted to Keflavik, Iceland after a bomb threat message was discovered written on a lavatory mirror in the plane.
Bryan Alvarez reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio that this message was written in women’s makeup which resulted in Wayne’s mother being among those interrogated by Icelandic police due to it being similar to the makeup she had in her carry-on bag.
Alvarez stated:
” Somebody apparently went into the bathroom and wrote either ‘bomb’ or ‘explosion’ on the mirror in the bathroom. They turned around, they landed in Iceland, they took everybody off the plane, they herded them into some secure area.
Apparently [Nick’s] mother was interrogated for quite a while because she had an eyeliner or something of that nature and obviously [the threat] had been scrawled in eyeliner or makeup on the bathroom mirror. So, she was in a panic.”
Following the incident, Wayne stated on Twitter that he and his mother returned safely to their homes after the incident.
Made it back to Seattle 🙏🏻

Tony Khan on Potential AEW & WWE Forbidden Door Event in the Future & Vince McMahon Retiring Being Good for AEW
A recent episode of NBC Sports’ Ten Count podcast had AEW CEO Tony Khan as the guest. One of the topics discussed included his thoughts on if WWE would be more open to work with AEW for a potential future Forbidden Door event under Stephanie McMahon and Paul “Triple H” Levesque’s leadership.
“I’m not sure if that’s the case, but I would certainly be open to talk with pretty much any wrestling promotion in the world about how to work together if the circumstances are right. We’ve worked with, I would say, in terms of securing footage or providing talent with probably a dozen companies around the world, including Ring of Honor before I was the owner, when they were owned by Sinclair. I’d like to think that was positively received by them and we did things to help them out when they were in tough times and I think that goodwill helped us in the sale process.”
Khan also gave his thoughts on if Vince McMahon’s recent retirement from WWE will be good for AEW.
“I believe there are a lot of great wrestling fans all over the world who follow pro wrestling closely and there have been shake-ups. I’ve definitely followed that promotion since I was a small kid and it will be interesting to see how things turn out in the world of pro wrestling. I’m a big fan of pro wrestling all over the place, not just AEW and not just Ring of Honor. We work with New Japan Pro Wrestling and a lot of other great companies all over the world. We’ll see what’s to be held for the future of the pro wrestling business, but I’m glad AEW and Ring of Honor are a huge part of it.”
