Sasha Banks Release Rumors Update

As noted before, Sasha Banks has been absent from WWE programming since this past May due to her current suspension from the company following a walk out incident over backstage creative issues during the May 16th WWE RAW show in Norfolk, Virginia.

Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp reported that several sources spoken to, including one high level WWE official, stated that they currently believe that Banks has been released from the company.

Sapp reported that WWE has yet to confirm if the rumors are true nor have they informed people within the company who are usually made aware of releases of Banks’ departure as of yet.

In short: I can’t confirm that she is, but some pretty important people are of the belief she is.

In regards to WWE’s internal roster lists, PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that Banks’ name was still listed on WWE’s internal roster as of this past Friday night.

WWE’s Current Plans for Cody Rhodes’ Return from Injury

As noted before, Cody Rhodes recently suffered a torn pectoral injury and underwent successful surgery that was stated by WWE to put him out of action for the next nine months.

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that the current belief within WWE and Rhodes himself is that he will be returning sooner than the company’s public statement of nine months. Meltzer speculated that next year’s Royal Rumble event would make the most sense for Rhodes to make his big return to the company.

Meltzer reported that WWE officials have held recent talks over the idea of giving Rhodes a major push when he returns similar to the treatment Triple H received when he returned from his torn quad injury in 2002.

Ronda Rousey Comments on WWE’s Women’s Locker Room Vibes

A recent episode of The Kurt Angle Show podcast had Ronda Rousey as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Rousey’s thoughts on her adapting to WWE’s Women’s division locker room.

“It was kind of funny. I was talking to Heyman once cause whenever drama would go down in the locker room, I wouldn’t be in there. The second I stepped out something would happen and you know, if one of the girls was being unfair, I would step in and I would be like, ‘What’s going on?’ I heard about things happening when I stepped out, I’m like, ‘Why is this happening when I was in there? I would have said something.’

Heyman was telling me if there was like a pitbull in the room and you don’t know about this dog, you know? You don’t know this dog and it could probably kill you, you’re not going to do anything crazy while the pit bull is in the room. You’re going to wait until the pitbull leaves the room and then you get crazy …

So as far as I know, it’s just sunshine and lollipops in the locker room. It’s a bunch of cupcakes and handjobs. Everyone’s having a great time.”
