Johnny Gargano & Candice LeRae Status Update
As noted before, Johnny Gargano’s contract with WWE expired this past December. Gargano’s wife Candice LeRae’s contract with the company expired this past May.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that both Gargano and LeRae are currently expected to be making their return to wrestling relatively soon. Meltzer reported that several people within AEW have been pushing for the company to sign LeRae within the near future.
In regards to Gargano, Meltzer reported that it is currently not known where he might decide to go next for his career. WWE reportedly still has left the door open to Gargano to return if he wants and can offer him the most money but with the least expectation of him being treated as a major star on both NXT and the main roster. AEW and Impact Wrestling reportedly are the two other destinations Meltzer speculated Gargano could go with the main drawbacks being AEW’s bloated roster at the moment and Impact’s contract being worth less than what WWE and AEW could offer for a deal.
