Update: MJF reportedly did not get on the flight and is assumed to still be in Las Vegas as of Sunday morning.

MJF no showed today’s scheduled AEW Fan Fest meet and greet and reportedly has a flight booked out of Las Vegas tonight, though it’s not clear if he will actually be getting on the plane, according to Fightful Select.
MJF is scheduled to face Wardlow tomorrow night in Vegas at Double or Nothing.
Fightful says that a flight was booked for him out of Vegas for later tonight across the country, and neither AEW or MJF’s side would confirm the reason for the flight. Whether or not he actually gets on the plane remains to be seen.
MJF no showed today’s fan meet and greet and AEW was not able to contact him, according to PWInsider. Fans were offered refunds or exchanges to meet other talents instead. It seems unlikely that it would be a work because fans were reportedly charged $100 for the meet and greet. An AEW source told Fightful that AEW was “very unhappy about how it all played out.”
Fightful says that MJF is physically fine, so that wasn’t the reason for the no-show.
MJF has reportedly been unhappy with AEW recently, and one source in AEW told Fightful that “communication between the two sides had reached an all-time low.” PWInsider added that MJF has been keeping more and more to himself recently behind the scenes.
In March, MJF gave an interview where he talked about WWE being interested in him and how he won’t sign with AEW unless he’s given an “absolutely astronomical” offer when his contract expires in 2024. That interview reportedly led to a “heated discussion” between MJF and Tony Khan that “was said to have left both men frustrated,” Fightful reported, with Khan reportedly primarily upset that the interview was set up without notifying AEW’s public relations team first.
MJF has reportedly been upset about his pay scale in AEW. However, AEW has also reportedly made recent overtures to sign him to a new deal that would include “top performer money” and an extension, but MJF has “not been receptive to sitting down and talking,” according to PWInsider.
On Thursday, Tony Khan was asked about the MJF situation on a media call and said that “wrestling thrives when real life meets on-screen.” MJF seemed to take offense to Khan’s comments and tweeted, then deleted, “Fucking lol. Fuck this place man.”
