Ronds Rousey held a recent gaming and Q&A streaming session on Facebook. Some of the topics discussed included her thoughts about the criticisms she receives from wrestling fans, her new wrestling gear at WWE’s Royal Rumble 2022 event, being in the main event segments during this past week’s episodes of RAW and SmackDown, and wanting to work together with Shayna Baszler in WWE.
On the topic of the online criticisms she receives from wrestling fans, Rousey stated:
“It’s hard not to take it [trash talk] personally from the fans because I don’t go out there as — I mean I do go out there as a character but I am also — I am actually Ronda Rousey so I don’t play Ronda Rousey on television. So sometimes I take it personally from the fans, not so much from the wrestlers. The fans, I do.”
On the topic of the new wrestling gear she wore for her return at WWE’s Royal Rumble 2022 event last month, Rousey stated:
“Well, I just had a baby four months ago and I didn’t really feel confident enough to don my regular wrestling gear yet but I’m working towards it… because you know, it’s hard when you’re coming back and being judged directly to how you looked three years ago.”
On the topic of her WrestleMania 38 match decision being the main event segments at the past week’s episodes of RAW and SmackDown, Rousey stated:
“It’s such pressure when I’m the last on the show because I feel like it’s my responsibility to retain the ratings and deliver, you know? You don’t want people to be disappointed.”
On the topic of wanting to work together with Shanya Baszler during her current run in WWE, Rousey stated:
“I wanna tag with Shayna [Baszler] so bad guys. Just make demands for it online, nonstop. They look at that sh*t.”
Rousey also gave her thoughts about the idea of her husband Travis Browne wrestling one day in WWE.
“I think it’d be super cool [if Travis Browne wrestled for WWE] but it also seems like the common thing of they would want us to move to Florida and do the whole P.C. thing, unless you guys really start to demand it online. But — you know, life is busy here at Browsey Acres. We got a lot to do, and we got two boys out here. Can’t just be moving to Orlando.”
