Former Impact World Champion, X Division Champion and Tag Team Champion Josh Alexander announced on Monday that his contract with Impact Wrestling has expired.
And as a result, his US work visa has also expired and the Canadian is currently no longer able to work in the United States until the situation is resolved. Because of this, he said that he won’t be able to work upcoming indie shows that he was he booked on.
Today my contract expired & subsequently also US work visa.
Unfortunately as a consequence I will not be able to honour my commitments to both @TERMINUSpro & @AMLWrestling later this month.
I’m disappointed & I’m sorry.
Hopefully I’ll have everything in order soon. pic.twitter.com/2iXCXnDHkd

Alexander started working for Impact in 2018 and signed a three year contract in February 2019.
According to Dave Meltzer, Alexander is still open to staying with Impact, but no deal has been made as of now. Alexander got his US work visa through Impact.
Alexander’s name was interestingly brought up a couple of weeks ago on AEW Dynamite by Brandi Rhodes, who took a shot at Ethan Page, Alexander’s former tag team partner in Impact, saying during an in-ring segment that “everyone knows the only reason we hired you was to get to Josh Alexander.”
On this past Thursday’s Impact episode, Alexander cut a promo about Impact being his home and wanting to take the company to new heights. He demanded a World Title shot from Impact’s Scott D’Amore and told him that if he doesn’t give him one, he might be looking at the hottest free agent in wrestling. D’Amore told him to get himself sorted and “sent him home” and removed him from the five-on-five Team Impact vs. Honor No More match at Saturday’s Impact No Surrender special.
