Billy Gunn Comments on Working with His Sons in AEW
A recent episode of Highspots’ Virtual Gimmick Table show had Billy Gunn as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Gunn’s thoughts on working with his sons Austin and Colten Gunn in AEW.
“Yeah, this [working with his sons in wrestling] goes up there with anything I’ve done. It out-trumps everything. I mean, when you get to start with them or they get to start with me or however that wording goes and watch them get better and better every time they get in the ring and be around that and have some influence over that is amazing. That’s probably — like I can retire now and be — not that I wouldn’t have been before but now I’m — there’s nothing else I need to do in this business, because that is the ultimate. If you get to work with your kids in a profession that [you] love to do, then that’s it, it’s over, it’s done.”

Final PPV Buys Rate for AEW All Out 2021
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the final pay-per-view buys number for AEW’s All Out 2021 event this past September in Hoffman Estates, Illinois was 205,000.
Meltzer reported that this final number is based on the completed PPV sales data from traditional cable companies who aired the event alongside B/R Live and FITE TV.
This number reportedly coincides with the estimates from the first week after the event which pointed to a PPV buys number of over 200,000 with 205,000 as its upper end estimate. In regards to revenues, Meltzer reported that AEW generated around $10 million in total revenues which would be the highest amount for a non-WWE PPV event since 1999.
