In-Ring: Bobby Lashley, MVP, Big E, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens

A video kicks off the show highlighting Bobby Lashley running through Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, and WWE Champion Big E to earn his way into the WWE Championship match at WWE Day 1.

“The All Mighty” Bobby Lashley makes his way to the ring alongside MVP. They stand around for a few moments before MVP lightly asks Lashley, “Are we live?” Lashley affirms that they are, so MVP goes into his schtick. MVP tells the crowd to give Bobby Lashley respect. What Lashley did last week was impossible to even extraordinary men. Last week, Bobby Lashley beat Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, and WWE Champion Big E. MVP knows no one in the crowd is an athlete. They’re pretty pathetic. They can’t understand that what some people think is impossible is routine to Lashley. What Lashley did last week was like winning the Boston Marathon, going to the NBA and shooting a triple-double, and then knocking out Francis Ngannou all in one day. Everyone must pay respect to the All Mighty Era.

WWE Champion Big E makes his way to the ring. Big E says, “Hats off and cheese curds to you.” Lashley did what he said he would and beat all three of them to get a shot at his WWE Championship. Something still sticks in his craw. Lashley is strong, dominant, and has a lot of sisters (some people grumble at the ill-fated “Lashley’s Sisters” angle). However, MVP cracked him in the knee with his cane. Big E thinks Lashley doesn’t have the plums or cajones that he thought.

Lashley says he didn’t need help from anyone. Lashley didn’t need MVP’s help to beat Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, or “Little E.” Lashley says he’ll take a victory any way he can, but people are questioning whether he can beat Big E on his own. Before the match, MVP said if Lashley couldn’t beat Big E then MVP would. Lashley thinks MVP believes that, so he wants to see if he really can. MVP looks surprised. MVP is a 2-time US Champion and has the cane. Lashley is going to stand in the corner and see if MVP can beat Big E in the spirit of competition. Lashley says MVP has his cane, so let’s see him use it.

WWE Champion Big E and MVP square up to fight. MVP holds his cane up to strike Big E with.

Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens all of a sudden attack Lashley from behind. Big E runs out to take them out, but they overwhelm him and send him into the barricade. Rollins and Owens get Lashley in the ring and double-team him. All of a sudden, Big E jumps into the ring and helps Lashley take out Rollins and Owens. Big E and Lashley stand tall in the ring, while Owens and Rollins back off.

Pearce says they’re going to make one of the most interesting tag matches in the history of Raw: Owens and Rollins vs. Lashley and Big E.
