Candice LeRae’s Contract Status Update

As noted before, Johnny Gargano recently signed a one week contract extension with WWE in order to compete at next week’s NXT WarGames 2021 event and finish up his current storyline commitments in NXT. Gargano’s contract is currently set to expire on December 10th.

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that Gargano is still in talks with WWE for a potential new contract with the company.

Gargano’s wife Candice LeRae’s contract with WWE reportedly is currently set to expire in May of 2022. Meltzer reported that his sources stated that the current belief within the company is that her contract very likely will be frozen and time added to make up for the time she has been away from NXT television due to her current pregnancy. Meltzer speculated that if WWE does indeed freeze her contract and add time to it, LeRae’s contract likely would not expire until well into 2023.
