WWE: PPV Events Schedule Update, Survivor Series 2021 & NXT Status Update, New Deal with Mattel

Updated WWE PPV Events Schedule, NXT TakeOver Status Update

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that WWE recently updated their internal pay-per-view events schedule for the remainder of this year and early 2022.

In regards to main roster events, WWE confirmed that they will not be holding a pay-per-view event this December. Following this year’s Survivor Series event on November 21st in Brooklyn, New York, the next official WWE event will be their Day 1 event on January 1, 2022 in Atlanta, Georgia.

In regards to NXT, Johnson reported that WWE does not have any TakeOvers currently scheduled internally for the months of November and December.


Current Plans for WWE Survivor Series 2021

WWE reportedly currently does not have any plans for their NXT brand to be involved in this year’s Survivor Series event, according to PWInsider.

Mike Johnson reported that his sources within the company stated that WWE officials currently do not have any plans for NXT to be part of the build for this year’s “battle for brand supremacy” for Survivor Series. Johnson reported that this will be the second year in a row that NXT will not be involved in the build for Survivor Series with this year’s reason due to NXT’s recent revamp as developmental only for brand status.


WWE Announces Multi-Year Extension Deal with Mattel

WWE recently announced that they have signed a multi-year extension deal with toy manufacturer Mattel for WWE branded toys merchandise.
