WWE reportedly is currently working on early plans for next year’s WrestleMania event in Dallas, Texas, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s issue that WWE officials recently began discussing several ideas for next year’s WrestleMania 38 weekend festivities. Meltzer reported that one of the plans involves next year’s event being held as a two-day event, similar to WrestleMania 36 and 37. Meltzer stated that WWE officials are “looking into planning, security, insurance, cost of production, length of the event two days vs. one day and other locations for shows that weekend.”
Meltzer also reported that WWE has been in recent contact with AT&T Stadium officials regarding potential ideas and plans for next year’s event at their venue. One idea reportedly currently under consideration involves WrestleMania 38 being held as a regular one-day event but the following night’s episode of RAW would also be held at the stadium in front of a potential crowd of around 40,000.
WWE officials reportedly are also currently considering holding SmackDown’s WrestleMania 38 go-home show at the Gerald Ford Stadium in University Park, Texas due to the American Airlines Center in Dallas being unavailable that night due to a scheduled NBA home game for the Dallas Mavericks. Meltzer reported that WWE officials could also consider the idea of pre-taping that week’s episode but would unlikely do it due to them not wanting to upset FOX.
