Big E (c) vs. Bobby Lashley
After the ring introductions, the bell rings. They lock up and grapple to the corner. Big E talks a little trash and connects with a STIFF slap to the face! An irate Lashley beats Big E down in the corner before hitting a running forearm. Big E collapses, but Lashley quickly has him up and against the ropes. Lashley connects with some crossfaces but stops before being disqualified. Lashley bounces him in the corner and punches away at him. Lashley connects with a snap suplex for a no count. Lashley grabs him and throws him out of the ring. Big E is bleeding from the mouth.
Lashley goes outside and drives Big E into the barricade. Lashley scoops him up and drives him headfirst into the ring post. Lashley taunts the crowd and motions that he will soon be the WWE Champion again. Lashley approaches Big E, but Big E hits an overhead belly-to-belly suplex on the floor.
Picture-in-Picture Commercial: Lashley attacks Big E on the apron and avalanches him back to the floor. Lashley poses around the ring for a few moments. Lashley attacks Big E at ringside and sends him into the ring steps.
Back from the commercial, Lashley gets Big E in the ring and connects with a flatliner for a near fall. Lashley applies a chin lock, but Big E fights up. Big E hits the ropes, but Lashley is ready for him, and shoulder blocks him down. Lashley once again taunts the crowd. Lashley whips Big E to the corner and hits a nasty running shoulder to the midsection. Lashley puts Big E on the top rope and punches him. Lashley attempts a superplex, but Big E punches him down to the canvas. Lashley lands on his feet and stuns Big E with a right hand. Lashley attempts a superplex, but Big E holds on and knocks Lashley off again. Lashley then charges and forearms Big E off the top rope to the apron and then the floor! Lashley goes outside and charges, but they collide with a double clothesline. Both make it back into the ring before being counted out.
They trade punches from their knees before getting to their feet. Big E comes out on top with the exchange, so Lashley knees him in the midsection. Lashley whips him twice to the corner and goes for a running forearm, but Big E counters into a uranage attempt. Lashley manages to counter the counter into a twisting neckbreaker. Lashley clubs the spine, but Big E starts to gyrate a bit as the crowd chants, “New Day rocks.” Lashley hits the ropes, but Big E drops down and then leapfrogs him before hitting a back elbow. Big E goes for the Big Ending, but Lashley grabs the top rope. Big E slings him to the apron and stuns him with a right hand. Big E hits the ropes and spears Lashley off the apron!
Standing in front of Big E are Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander in Hurt Business t-shirts.
Big E gets Lashley in the ring but turns to look at Benjamin and Alexander. Lashley stuns Big E with a spinebuster and backs up. Lashley connects with a spear and covers, but Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston run down and brawl into the ring with Benjamin and Alexander. The referee calls the match off.
No Contest
The New Day clear the ring. Woods and Kingston hit stereo somersault sentons on Benjamin and Alexander. Big E knocks Lashley into the crowd. WWE Official Adam Pearce comes out to the stage and says this match needs to be settled once and for all to decide the better man. It needs to happen with everyone else out of it. Therefore, in Cincinnatti, Big E will defend the WWE Championship against Bobby Lashley inside a Steel Cage! The crowd roars in approval!
Erik vs. Angel Garza
A pre-taped promo is shown with Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo. Carrillo says they are the hottest tag team in WWE. Wherever they go in the WWE Draft, they’ll dominate the Tag Team Division.
The bell rings, and Erik applies a waistlock before throwing Garza down. Erik connects with a waistlock takeover. Garza blocks a kick and knees him in the face before hitting a clothesline. Garza rips his pants off and clubs the back of Erik. Garza hits some more knees to the face and applies a dragon sleeper. Erik fights up, so Garza rakes the eyes and big boots him. Erik answers back with a forearm to the face. Erik scoops him up and hits an exploder suplex. Garza kicks him and goes for a whip, but Erik flips him over and knees him in the face. Humberto Carrillo gets on the apron to distract Erik. It works because Garza superkicks Erik and hits the Wing Clipper for the win.

Corey Graves tells Byron Saxton that his girlfriend is safe from Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo because they’re not into four-legged ladies.
WWE 24/7 Championship
Reggie (c) vs. Ricochet
The 24/7 goons are seated in the crowd. The rules of the title are suspended during regular matches.
They lock up, and Ricochet applies a side headlock. Reggie whips him off, so Ricochet flips over him and lands on his feet. They go back and forth with waistlocks. Reggie hits the ropes and flips over Ricochet. They smile and show respect. They lock up, and Reggie applies a side headlock. Ricochet fights out and whips Reggie to the corner. Reggie scales the turnbuckles and backflips over him. Ricochet then backflips over him. Ricochet knocks Reggie out of the ring and hits a somersault senton. The 24/7 mob jumps the barricade and stomp Reggie.
Winner by Disqualification: Reggie
R-Truth and Drew Gulak attack Ricochet, but Ricochet leaps off the commentary table with a moonsault block. Reggie runs off, so Drake Maverick shouts on a walkie-talkie. Akira Tozawa comes out and chases Reggie to the ring. Reggie fights him off and hits a standing cross-body block. Reggie runs off.
Backstage: Riddle, AJ Styles, Omos
Footage is shown from last Monday on Raw when Omos was ejected from ringside during AJ Styles vs. Randy Orton. Orton would defeat Styles with an RKO.
Kevin Patrick finds Raw Tag Team Champion Riddle backstage. Riddle says Randy Orton isn’t here tonight because he’s taking a break after his big win. Orton told Riddle that he was ready to RKO him on concrete, but Riddle thought that would hurt his back. Riddle says Orton could be in Cincinnatti having a cheat day or at home with the munchies. Riddle puts on his headphones and listens to Orton’s theme song, but he stops dancing when he sees AJ Styles and Omos standing near him.
Riddle will face AJ Styles later tonight on Raw.
Akira Tozawa vs. Keith “Bearcat” Lee
Akira Tozawa is still in the ring. Tozawa demands a match with R-Truth or Drew Gulak. Tozawa doesn’t care who it is.
Keith “Bearcat” Lee answers the challenge.
Lee is in a new outfit for this character change. Lee clotheslines him down to start the match and avalanches him in the corner. Lee wildly throws him across the ring and hits the Big Bang Catastrophe for the win.

Replays are shown from earlier tonight of The Hurt Business reforming. The New Day brawled into the ring with them, causing a No Contest in the WWE Championship match.
The New Day is backstage. WWE Champion Big E says he cannot wait. Kevin Patrick asks about the Steel Cage match. Big E says he didn’t realize they were having a family reunion. When the Steel Cage goes up, Big E and Bobby Lashley are going down. Like Babe Ruth in his prime, he’s calling his shot. In the Steel Cage, he promises Lashley that he will walk out once more as the rightful WWE Champion.
The Steel Cage is shown hanging high above the ring.
WWE United States Championship
Damian Priest (c) vs. Sheamus
WWE United States Champion Damian Priest makes his way to the ring. A pre-taped promo with Priest shows him telling Sheamus this is his last opportunity. This match must end in pinfall or submission. There are no disqualifications or count-outs.

The bell rings, and they lock up. They grapple around the ring for position. Sheamus powers him to the corner, but Priest powers out. They break the lock-up but quickly go back to it. Priest wrenches the arm, but Sheamus takes him down with a front facelock. Sheamus clubs him in the back before applying a chin lock. Sheamus pulls him up and hits a headlock takeover. Sheamus tries to power the shoulders down and succeeds in getting a two count. Priest fights up and applies a hammerlock, but Sheamus grabs the top rope. Priest cinches it in as there are no disqualifications. Sheamus elbows Priest and clubs the spine. Priest goes down and punches the mat in frustration. Priest reverses a whip to the corner and hits a running elbow. Priest hits another whip and running elbow followed by a Broken Arrow for a near fall.
Outside the ring, Sheamus stuns Priest with a strike. Sheamus goes for a suplex on the floor, but Priest counters it and hits a suplex on Sheamus. Sheamus gets to his feet and leans against the steps. Priest big boots him over the steps. Priest goes under the ring and grabs a table. Priest sets it up, but Sheamus attacks him from behind and throws him over the steel steps. Sheamus positions the table and turns into a flying forearm from Priest. Sheamus quickly overtakes him and throws him in the ring. Sheamus ties him up and starts the 10 Beats of the Bodhran, but Priest blocks it. Priest punches Sheamus against the ropes and goes for a big boot, but Sheamus avoids it. Sheamus pulls Priest over the top rope and hits White Noise off the apron through the table at ringside! Wow, did Priest land badly on his shoulder!
We come back from the break to see Sheamus crack Priest in the ribs with a kendo stick. Sheamus smacks it off Priest’s spine and digs the kendo stick into his mouth. Priest fights up, but Sheamus knocks him down. Priest viciously elbows him back, but Sheamus answers with a powerslam for a near fall. Sheamus grabs another table and leans it in the corner of the ring. Sheamus attacks Priest, but Priest responds with some right hands. Priest sends him into the ropes, but he lowers his head and eats a kick. Sheamus charges, but Priest drops him on the apron. Sheamus goes to the top rope, but Priest stops him. Sheamus snaps him off the top rope and goes up top. Sheamus mocks Priest’s bow and arrow taunt and leaps into a kendo stick shot! Priest tees off on Sheamus with kendo stick shot after kendo stick shot. Priest clotheslines Sheamus over the top rope with the kendo stick.
Sheamus’ back is bleeding from the kendo stick shots. Priest avalanches him with a back elbow against the barricade. Sheamus quickly sends him into the ring post and whips him into the barricade. Sheamus goes in the ring, sets up a chair, and sits down while posing. Priest gets in the ring, so Sheamus takes the chair and wedges it in the corner. Priest fights him off and stuns him with a kick. Priest goes for a springboard kick, but Sheamus attacks and sends him headfirst into the chair in the corner. Sheamus then hits an Alabama Slam for a near fall. Sheamus taunts the crowd and gets fired up. Priest throws the chair into Sheamus’ face and hits South of Heaven for a near fall.
Priest attacks Sheamus and stuns him with a pair of kicks. Priest fakes him out with a springboard and takes him down. Priest gets put on the apron, but he quickly comes back with a kick to the head. Priest goes for a springboard, but Sheamus hits a bicycle knee lift for a near fall. Sheamus grabs the kendo stick and smacks it off Priest’s spine. Priest ducks another shot and hits a bell ringer followed by a kick. Priest goes for the Reckoning, but Sheamus counters into a powerslam attempt. Priest slides off and reverses a whip into the table in the corner! The table explodes into shrapnel around Sheamus!
Priest gets fired up and hits Sheamus with the Reckoning for the win.

Mansoor is standing backstage. Mustafa Ali is not happy that Mansoor asked Jeff Hardy to team with them. Jeff Hardy walks up and says Jinder Mahal, Veer, and Shanky are big scary bastards, but he’s faced bigger and scarier. Now it’s time to twist their fates.
6-Man Tag Team Match
Jeff Hardy, Mansoor & Mustafa Ali vs. Jinder Mahal, Veer & Shanky
Mustafa Ali starts against Shanky and hits a pair of dropkicks that do nothing to Shanky. Shanky hits a sidewalk slam and tags Veer in. Veer hits an elbow to the back of the neck and scoops Ali up. Ali slides off and sends him to the corner. Mansoor tags in and hits a flying forearm, but Veer doesn’t go down. Veer whips Mansoor to the ropes and hits a wicked flying Thesz Press. Veer drops a big elbow for a near fall. Veer applies a neck vice to Mansoor before tagging Shanky in. Shanky drives Mansoor down before putting him in the corner. Mansoor avoids a big boot.
They announce that we’ll hear from WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg later tonight.
Jeff Hardy and Jinder Mahal tag in. Hardy hits some forearms and takes Mahal down. Hardy knocks Veer off the apron. Hardy hits Mahal with an inverted atomic drop, a double leg to the midsection, a basement dropkick, and a splash for a near fall. Hardy goes for a Twist of Fate, but Mahal shoves him off. Hardy elbows Mahal back, and Ali tags himself in. Ali hits a rolling sit-out facebuster, but Veer breaks up the pin. Hardy runs in, but Veer sends him out of the ring. Shanky grabs Hardy, but Mansoor jumps off the steps and attacks him.
In the ring, Veer turns Ali inside out with a shoulder block. Veer then wipes him out with a vicious lariat for the win. Corey Graves says Veer has a “million dollar arm,” referencing Veer’s legitimate baseball past that culminated in a Disney movie.

Karrion Kross vs. Jaxson Ryker
In a backstage promo, Karrion Kross says he feels rejuvenated. He’ll haunt every waking moment of the WWE Superstars. In the end, they all fall and pray. Karrion Kross makes his entrance.
Kross dominates Ryker to the corner and shouts that he is Ryker’s commanding officer now. Kross throws him down and covers for a two count. Ryker reverses a whip and elbows him. Ryker lifts him, but Kross slides off and hits a Doomsday Saito. Kross applies the Kross Jacket for the submission.
Winner by Submission: Karrion Kross
Backstage: Adam Pearce, Sonya Deville, Doudrop
WWE Officials Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville are talking backstage. Doudrop walks up and asks for the title match with Charlotte Flair. Deville tells her to slow down but then agrees to it. Deville says she likes Doudrop, unlike Naomi who doesn’t belong on the SmackDown roster. Deville says Doudrop has to do her dance if she wins the title. Doudrop agrees.
Backstage: Bobby Lashley
Footage is shown of the No Contest in the WWE Championship match earlier tonight.
Bobby Lashley says Big E calling himself the “rightful champion” makes him sick. It makes his blood boil that Big E cashed in Money in the Bank while he was injured and just had a grueling match against Randy Orton. Lashley is happy that he’ll face Big E in the Steel Cage Match. He’ll destroy him and walk out of the cage as the rightful WWE Champion.
Riddle vs. AJ Styles
Riddle quickly takes Styles down, but Styles soon backs him to the corner. Styles elbows Riddle in the jaw, but he misses a corner clothesline. Riddle kicks away at him, but Styles blocks a kick, puts the leg over the rope, and kicks him in the hamstring. Styles takes him down, but Riddle cuts him off. Riddle forearms him back. Styles reverses a whip, but Riddle slingshots over him, kicks him down, and hits a Broton. Riddle connects with a gutwrench suplex before rolling into a second and then a third! Riddle viciously knees Styles in the face and hits a running forearm. Riddle backs up, but Styles intercepts him with an avalanche. Styles then hits a front suplex onto the top rope, but Riddle slides off and crashes to the floor in front of Omos. Styles gets on the apron and hits a running knee to the face. Styles puts Riddle in the ring and gets him to his feet. Riddle fights him off and charges, but Styles hits him with a backbreaker. Styles dumps Riddle out of the ring.
We come back from the break to see Riddle connect flush with a kick to the face. Riddle kips up and hits an exploder suplex. Riddle goes for a Broton, but Styles gets the knees up. Styles connects with an ushigoroshi for a near fall. Riddle fights back and spikes Styles on his neck with a German Suplex for a near fall. Riddle gets Styles to his feet, but Styles takes him down with a Pele Kick. Omos is fuming at ringside. Riddle avoids a strike and hits a Ripcord Knee. Riddle doesn’t let go of Styles’ wrist and pulls him back up to his feet. Styles avoids a short-arm kick and hits a pumphandle gutbuster!
Styles goes for a Phenomenal Forearm, but Riddle kicks the feet out! Styles crashes and burns at ringside. Riddle knocks Styles back and hits a springboard twisting moonsault! Riddle goes to the top rope for a Floating Bro, but Styles counters into a Calf Crusher! Styles cinches it in, and Riddle screams in pain! Riddle scratches and claws to the bottom rope to break it. Omos yells in frustration at ringside.
Riddle kicks Styles away and viciously knees him down. Riddle starts to stalk Styles a la Randy Orton. Styles counters an RKO into a SICK burning hammer! Styles hits the Styles Clash for the victory!

After the match, an irate Omos gets in the ring and destroys Riddle with a slam.
Backstage: Shayna Baszler

Sarah Schreiber asks Shayna Baszler what was going through her mind when she realized how badly she injured Nia Jax. Baszler says nothing and walks off.
Raw Women’s Championship
Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Doudrop
They lock up, and Flair applies a side headlock. Doudrop whips her off and shoulder blocks her down. Flair looks surprised. Doudrop rolls over her and hits the ropes for another shoulder block. Flair quickly big boots her and goes for an exploder, but she can’t lift Doudrop. Doudrop lifts Flair, but Flair gets out. Doudrop quickly comes back with a takedown and a senton bomb.
Eva Marie’s music hits, and she walks out to distract Doudrop. Flair attacks Doudrop from behind and hits Natural Selection for the win.
Winner by Pinfall and still Raw Women’s Champion: Charlotte Flair
Eva Marie stands over Doudrop and yells at her. Eva then turns into a big boot from Flair. Flair stands tall with the title and walks off.
Segment: Goldberg
Replays are shown of Bobby Lashley destroying Gage Goldberg with a Hurt Lock at SummerSlam. His injured father, the WWE Hall of Famer, could not help him.
Goldberg is shown at his house in front of a portrait of him holding his newborn son. Goldberg says he’s a father and so is Bobby Lashley. For his kid’s sake, he hopes Lashley is a better father than a liar. When Lashley choked his son out at SummerSlam, Lashley had the balls to say it was a misunderstanding. When Goldberg’s son was born, he swore that he would hurt anyone that hurt him. Lashley hurt his son and now he will fulfill the promise he made to his son and his wife. Goldberg will hurt Bobby Lashley real bad. If he’s lucky enough, he’ll kill him. Goldberg will enjoy every single second of it. Gage Goldberg is his son. Bobby Lashley is about to be his victim.
In-Ring: Eva Marie, Shayna Baszler
Eva Marie is still in the ring. Eva says if she had the opportunity that Doudrop just had, she would be Raw “Woman’s” Champion. Eva is tired of being taken advantage of. The disrespect from the crowd makes her sick. Eva can beat any woman in the locker room. They all know it.
Shayna Baszler is going to put that theory to the test. Baszler gets in the ring, and Eva moves in slow motion to try to escape. Baszler applies the Kirifuda Clutch and chokes Eva out. The crowd roars in approval. Baszler then pulls her to the apron and kicks away at the arm. Baszler removes the top half of the steel steps and puts Eva’s arm on the bottom half. Like she did to Nia Jax last week, Baszler stomps Eva’s arm and seemingly breaks it. The crowd loves it and chants, “One more time.” Referees and trainers check on Eva, who is screaming in pain.
Backstage: Rhea Ripley, Nikki A.S.H.
Replays are shown of Rhea Ripley and Nikki A.S.H. winning the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship last week.
The new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions are backstage. Nikki is enthusiastic, but Ripley isn’t interested. Nikki suggests they get matching gear, but Ripley says blue looks good only on Nikki before walking away.
WWE Championship Steel Cage Match
Big E (c) vs. Bobby Lashley
Lashley attacks Big E before he can get into the Steel Cage. Lashley knocks him to ringside and rips the title off him. Lashley backs him into the barricade before whipping him over into the timekeeper’s area. Lashley punches away at him and whips him hard into the steel steps. Lashley sends him into the cage before backing him to the barricade. Lashley lifts him and drives him headfirst into the cage and ring post. Lashley grabs the top half of the ring steps and drives them into Big E’s spine. This match has not officially begun yet.
We come back from the break to see Big E and Lashley in the ring. The referee checks on Big E. Big E demands the bell be rung. The match officially begins.
Lashley charges, but Big E hits a uranage out of the corner. Big E sends Lashley into the cage twice before Lashley bounces back with a clothesline. Lashley stomps Big E and punches him. Lashley sends him headfirst into the cage before smothering him in the corner. Lashley backs up and hits a running shoulder to Big E’s midsection. Lashley hits a delayed vertical suplex and gets up laughing. Lashley taunts Big E and goes for a spear, but Big E counters into a hip toss into the corner! Big E sends him headfirst into the cage three times before going for a Big Ending. Lashley slides off and goes for a Hurt Lock, but Big E fights it. Lashley fights back and legitimately deadlifts him with a t-bone suplex!
Lashley begins to climb the cage, but Big E grabs Lashley’s ankles. Big E goes to the second rope and grabs Lashley for a super Big Ending. Lashley counters with a dragon sleeper over the top rope! Lashley releases and begins to climb. Big E comes to and joins Lashley on the top rope. Big E bounces Lashley off the top rope and down to the canvas. Big E starts to climb, but Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander cut him off and punch him down to the mat! Lashley crawls toward the door, but Xavier Woods slams it in his face! Woods superkicks Alexander coming off the cage. Kofi Kingston scales the cage wall and brawls with Benjamin hanging on the wall. Benjamin is knocked down to ringside, and Woods elbows him in the face. Kingston then hits Benjamin and Alexander with a Trust Fall off the cage to the floor!
We return from the final break of the evening to see Lashley hit Big E with a superplex! They take a few moments to recover before Lashley charges into an elbow. Lashley leapfrogs Big E, but Big E comes back with a pair of overhead belly-to-belly suplexes followed by a belly-to-belly side suplex. Big E hits the ropes, but Lashley spears him down for a near fall! Lashley cannot believe it.
Lashley hits Big E with a neckbreaker and comes off the middle rope with a flying elbow to the face. Lashley hits a snap suplex and stands tall in the ring. The referee opens the cage door at Lashley’s request, but Big E grabs the leg. Lashley stomps him off and continues to walk toward the door. Big E grabs him again, so Lashley stomps away at him and yells to stay down. Big E grabs the hand, so Lashley goes for a big clothesline. Big E ducks it and connects with a Big Ending for a near fall! Big E looks frustrated.
Big E moves to the door, so Lashley grabs the leg. Big E lifts Lashley and nearly loses him, but he legitimately powers him up! Lashley gets out and whips him into the ropes for a HUGE one-armed spinebuster! Lashley climbs to the top of the cage, but Big E grabs the ankle. Big E and Lashley battle it out while standing on the ropes. Big E viciously elbows away at Lashley’s midsection and hits a Big Ending off the middle rope for the win!

Big E celebrates with the WWE Championship inside the ring. All of a sudden, Drew McIntyre’s music hits and he points his Claymore sword at the WWE Champion from the stage. Big E nods in approval.
