Impact World Championship
Kenny Omega (c) vs. Christian Cage
This is the first time the Impact World Title has been defended in AEW and it’s the first time Christian – who is a former World Champion in TNA/Impact when they used the NWA World Championship – has challenged for that title since 2008. Christian frustrates Omega early on getting the better of him in chain sequences and then Christian runs Omega over with a shoulder block and flips him off.
Omega goes after Christian with chops and kicks and immediately goes for One Winged Angel but Christian counters into an Unprettier attempt only for Omega to escape and roll out of the ring. Christian chases Omega into the ring where Omega puts the boots to him. Omega hits a Flying Hip Attack in the corner and Christian rolls out to the floor. Omega attempts a Baseball Slide but Christian sidesteps him and rolls back into the ring where he hits a Flying Dropkick through the ropes as Omega tried to climb back in the ring. Back in the ring, Christian climbs up top but Callis distracts him allowing Omega to knock Christian to the floor.
Omega spent the break working Christian over and continues the assault as we come back from break. Omega goes for a Suplex but Christian counters into one of his own. Omega rakes Christian’s eyes and lifts him up to the top rope for a Superplex, but Christian fights him off and hits a Sunset Flip Bomb! Christian mounts Omega in the corner and hits a number of rights and lefts and then he chokes Omega in the ropes.
Christian leaps to the floor and uppercuts Omega a she was hanging on the middle rope. Christian hits a Corkscrew Uppercut off the middle rope for two. Christian attempts the Unprettier but Omega blocks it and hits a Green Bay Plunge followed by a Lionsault out of the corner for two. Omega goes for a Neckbreaker but Christian counters into a Reverse DDT for a nearfall.
Omega counters a Christian slam with a V-Trigger and then a Powerbomb followed by a second V-Trigger! 1…2…NO Christian kicks out! Christian fights out of a One Winged Angel attempt and elbows Omega in the face. Christian hits a Springboard Sunset Flip but Omega rolls through and goes for a V-Trigger. Christian ducks and Omega knees the turnbuckles and turns around into a Spear from Christian! 1….2..NO Omega kicks out and the crowd bought that false finish.
Christian picks Omega up but Omega quickly counters him with a Snap Dragon! Omega hits another Snap Dragon but Christian rolls to the apron as Omega set up for another V-Trigger. Christian snaps Omegas neck as he swings at him and then Christian hits a Frog Splash for another close nearfall. Christian picks Omega up and Callis gets on the apron allowing Omega to low blow Christian as the referee was distracted.
The Young Bucks come down to the ring and throw Omega a chair. Omega goes for a One Winged Angel but Christian counters into an Unprettier onto the chair! 1…2…3!

Backstage: Christian Cage
Backstage, Mark Henry interviews Christian who is celebrating with Jurassic Express as Orange Cassidy watches on in the background. Christian says he told everyone he would take Omega’s title and start with the Impact Title but he admits that Omega is one of the toughest guys he’s ever been in the ring with. Christian says he’s living in Omega’s head now and he knows that Christian can beat him now.
TNT Championship
Miro (c) vs. Fuego del Sol
A video package highlights Alabama’s own Fuego del Sol.
If Fuego wins, he also gets an AEW contract.
Fuego immediately hits a Tornado DDT as Miro gets in the ring and then hits a Diving Swinging DDT off the top but Miro rolls to the floor. Miro manages to roll back in the ring at nine and Fuego immediately drops him with another Tornado DDT! 1…2…NO Miro kicks out! Fuego dives off the top but Miro catches him and destroys him with a Bulgarian Drop. Miro is pissed now and obliterates Fuego’s entire existence with a Pump Kick. Miro locks in Game Over and Fuego taps.
Winner & STILL TNT Champ: Miro via submission (Game Over)
After the match, Miro grabs the AEW contract for Fuego and rips it up.
In-Ring: Fuego del Sol, Sammy Guevara
As Fuego del Sol picks up the pieces of pieces of the ripped up contract, Sammy Guevara and Tony Khan walk onto the stage. Khan hands Sammy a clipboard and Sammy says that sometimes there is victory in defeat. Sammy says that Fuego has been coming to AEW for the last year and he barely wins but no one cares because the people love him. Sammy says a lot of guys in the back love him, too. Sammy says that Tony Khan thought it would be right that he be the one that gives Fuego his official AEW contract.

Mark Henry cuts a split screen interview with Britt Baker and Red Velvet. Velvet says she can’t wait to stir her ass up tonight and Baker tells her to stir her shit somewhere because this is her city. She reveals she has a broken wrist, as well.
AEW Women’s World Championship
Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. (c) vs. Red Velvet
Baker has her wrist in a brace. Velvet goes for her finish early after countering an attempt at the Lock Jaw by Baker but they both stalemate. They pull off some nice chain wrestling and both get nearfalls on the other and then pie face each other. Velvet goes after Baker’s wrist but stops before stomping on it and lets Baker get back up.
After a couple more near falls for Baker, Velvet decides to attack the wrist and even tries to pull the brace off. Velvet hits a Leg Lariat and a Standing Moonsault for two.
Velvet hits an Armbreaker on the wrist and gets a nearfall but misses a Pump Kick and Baker hits a Spinning Neckbreaker and a Crucifix for two. She immediately rolls over into the Lockjaw! Velvet rolls Baker over for a nearfall and then Velvet rips off Baker’s wrist. Rebel gets on the apron and Velvet hits her with the brace. Baker rolls Velvet up for a nearfall.
Rebel tries to give Baker the belt and the referee throws Rebel out. Velvet hits a Superkick and then goes up top and hits a Diving Moonsault! 1…2..NO Baker kicks out! Velvet goes for a Suplex but Baker counters into a Brainbuster over her own knee for two. Baker hits a Curb Stomp for another nearfall. Baker swings her injured hand at Velvet which allows Velvet to catch her arm and lock Baker’s own Lockjaw on her. Baker kicks away from the ropes and reverses the hold!
Velvet punches Baker’s injured wrist repeatedly to break the hold but Baker manages to come back and lock it in again with her other arm and force Velvet to tap.
Winner & STILL Women’s Champ: Baker via submission (Lockjaw)
After the match, Baker continues to beat on Velvet until Kris Statlander attacks Baker. A woman in a hat then hits the ring and attacks Statlander. It’s revealed that it’s the returning Jamie Hayter, who has not been in AEW in almost two years. Hayter celebrates with Baker and Baker hits Velvet with a stomp on the title belt.
