Impact Wrestling Announces Several Teams for Homecoming Tag Team Tournament

Impact Wrestling recently announced that they will be holding a mixed tag team tournament as part of the card of this weekend’s Homecoming 2021 event in Nashville, Tennessee.

The winner of this upcoming tournament will earn the title of Impact’s inaugural Homecoming King and Queen.

Five teams of the eight teams have been revealed so far for this upcoming tag team tournament.

• Decay (Rosemary & Crazzy Steve)
• Brian Myers & a mystery partner
• Tommy Dreamer & Rachael Ellering
• Little Petey Pump (Petey Williams) & Thicc Mama Pump (Jordynne Grace)
• Matt Cardona & Chelsea Green

Current Cards for NJPW’s Wrestle Grand Slam 2021 in MetLife Dome & Resurgence Events

New Japan Pro Wrestling recently announced several new matches for both nights of their upcoming Wrestle Grand Slam 2021 in MetLife Dome events on September 4th & 5th in Saitama, Japan.

Night One was announced to be featuring a singles match of Kazuchika Okada vs. Jeff Cobb and a Provisional King of Pro Wrestling 2021 Championship match. Night Two was announced to be featuring an IWGP World Heavyweight Championship match, an IWGP Tag Team Championship match, and an IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship match.

Current card for Night 1 of Wrestle Grand Slam 2021 in MetLife Dome (Sept. 4):

• Kazuchika Okada vs. Jeff Cobb
• Provisional King of Pro Wrestling 2021 Championship – Toru Yano vs. Chase Owens (c)

Current card for Night 2 of Wrestle Grand Slam 2021 in MetLife Dome (Sept. 5):

• IWGP World Heavyweight Championship – EVIL vs. Shingo Takagi (c)
• IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championship Triple Threat match – Tetsuya Naito & SANADA vs. Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI vs. Dangerous Tekkers (Taichi & Zack Sabre Jr.) (c)
• IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship: Hiromu Takahashi vs. Robbie Eagles (c)

Following Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite, NJPW also announced a new match for the card of their Resurgence event on August 14th in Los Angeles, California. This will be an IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship match of Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Lance Archer.

Indie promotion Wrestling Revolver recently announced that Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards will making an appearance for the company at their Tales from the Ring III event on October 30th in Clive, Iowa. The company also announced that Richards & Edwards will be reuniting as the American Wolves for their event.
