Tickets have been selling well for AEW’s debut in New York City, Dynamite: Grand Slam on Wednesday, September 22 at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens.
There was a pre-sale on Wednesday and tickets officially went on sale to the general public on Friday.
As of around 9 PM ET Friday, there were an estimated 15,161 tickets sold and an estimated capacity of 17,164, according to WrestleTix.
As the arena began to quickly fill up on Friday, AEW opened up a few new sections in upper levels and behind the stage (about 3,000 or so seats), and those new sections make up the bulk of the seats still remaining.

According to PWInsider, AEW will continue to open new sections as needed until they finalize the set on the day of the show.
Unsurprisingly, PWInsider also says that both AEW and Arthur Ashe Stadium officials are very happy with the ticket sales.
AEW will also be in nearby Newark, NJ at the Prudential Center the week before, and as of last month, there were an estimated 10,000-11,000 tickets sold of a possible 12,000 or so, but most of those sales are from people who bought tickets to the event when it was supposed to be held last year before it was delayed due to the pandemic.
