Several Notable Talent Absent Backstage at This Week’s AEW Dynamite Taping
Fightful Select reported that several notable big name talents were absent backstage during the tapings for this past Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite at Daily’s Place.
Jon Moxley reportedly was one of those absent from this week’s tapings. It was reported that the official reason for his absence was due to AEW officials had given him time off for paternity leave reasons. Moxley and his wife Renee Paquette had announced the birth of their first child last month.
FTR’s Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood reportedly were also absent from this week’s tapings. The reason for FTR’s absence reportedly is currently not known.
Anna Jay Injury Status Update
As noted before, Anna Jay has been out of action for AEW since this past February due to a shoulder injury.
A recent episode of the Oral Sessions with Renee Paquette podcast had Jay as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Jay providing a status update on the rehab of her shoulder injury and potential return to the ring.
“I ended up tearing my labrum in my shoulder again in training. They think maybe that the first surgery was not 100% well done, and I just tore my labrum and found out. Obviously, I was really bummed out, but I’m hoping, fingers crossed, that this surgery is the charm and I don’t have to worry about this ever again. Unfortunately, injuries are part of what we do…
I don’t really know. I know everything’s going on track how it should. Of course, the doctors don’t really want to [give a specific target date for return] just because it could change and I don’t really know, but everything’s going as it should. Obviously, I hope sooner than later, but then again, I’m not rushing it, so I don’t really have a timeframe yet, but we’ll see.”
