Various: AEW Working on Plans to Leave Daily’s Place, Friday’s NJPW Strong Card, Indies

AEW Reportedly Tentatively Planning to Leave Daily’s Place in Late 2021

AEW has been running their weekly television shows and pay-per-view events at their Daily’s Place venue in Jacksonville, Florida for the majority of the on-going coronavirus pandemic. The company at one point considered a brief move to Miami, Florida earlier this year for warmer weather reasons, but ultimately stayed in Jacksonville.

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that AEW recently has been working on tentative plans to leave Daily’s Place later this year. Meltzer reported that AEW officials recently started to book tentative dates on the road starting either later this summer or early fall.

Meltzer also reported that the reason why AEW has been taping a lot of hours of content in recent weeks is due to them wanting to evaluate more talent and build up as much content as possible for future benefit, either in the form of their own streaming service or signing a major deal with a streaming company.
