MLW Shows With Crowds
MLW CEO Court Bauer did an interview on today’s episode of MLW Fusion and announced that MLW will return to running shows with live crowds on July 10 at the 2300 Arena (former ECW Arena) in Philadelphia, PA.
Bauer said that the current “season” of MLW will close out on May 5 and they’ll be coming back with new content and a “new season” in July. During the time off, they will run old MLW content on their TV shows, including the show on Vice TV.
“When we come back, we’re coming back with crowds,” Bauer said. “And it’s going down July 10th in Philadelphia, the home of the first ever MLW show back in June of 2002. We’re going to the 2300 Arena, Philly, July 10th with a big, big night of fights. With a reloaded roster, championship title belts, you name it, it’s all going down. You can get your tickets now at MLW2300.com.
“We’ve been working with athletic commissions, with our medical team and feel that this July, we’ve got the green light, we’re gonna do this. And man, it’s just not the same without crowds, so we’re excited to bring the fans back into the arena this summer.”
The interview with Bauer starts at around the 34:50 mark in the video below:
MLW Vice TV Premiere Date
During an interview with Wrestling Inc, Bauer said that MLW’s show on Vice TV will premiere on Saturday, May 1.
“MLW’s presence will hit in May,” Bauer said. “We’re going to be putting that out, the exact date, very soon… You know what? Fuck it, it’s May 1. That’s when you’re first going to see MLW. This isn’t like new footage, it’s just the library so you can see the 2020 stuff.”
New content – with crowds – is expected to begin airing on Vice TV in July after their first tapings on July 10 in Philadelphia.
