He reportedly requested his release on Monday, March 8 and posted messages on social media about being unhappy in WWE like, “If you don’t like where you are, move. You are not a tree.”
He first signed with WWE in 2015 and made his NXT debut in 2016. He was last seen on WWE TV on the October 12 Raw, where he lost a match to Angel Garza and was attacked by The Fiend afterwards.
WWE wrestlers who are released typically have 90 day non-compete clauses, so he likely won’t be able to sign or wrestle elsewhere for three months.
His former manager Zelina Vega was released by WWE in November.
