More on Shane McMahon’s Strange Promo Segment on RAW
Monday’s episode of WWE RAW featured two segments between Braun Strowman and Shane McMahon. The second segment involved a strange promo by McMahon with him acting in an odd way and taking longer than usual to deliver his lines. This second segment also included a faked chase backstage involving a car and McMahon mocking Strowman for being fooled.
Fightful Select reported that McMahon did not botch his promo during the second segment since it “went pretty well the way it was supposed to” nor was there anything wrong with McMahon’s health despite him wheezing a lot.
One of Fightful’s sources spoken to reportedly stated that the goal WWE officials had for McMahon’s promo was to make him less likeable than Strowman to help setup a planned match between the two. McMahon taking a long time to deliver his words reportedly was part of that idea from WWE’s creative team.
