AEW Holding Their First Ever House Show Event Next Month
AEW recently announced that they will be holding their first ever non-televised house show event on April 9th at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida. Tickets for this upcoming was announced to go on sale starting on March 29th.
The first three matches for the event’s card were also recently announced, which are Kenny Omega & Michael Nakazawa vs. Matt & Mike Sydal, Cody Rhodes vs. Ethan Page, and The Young Bucks & Brandon Cutler vs. Death Triangle (PAC, Penta El Zero M, & Rey Fenix).
Dave Meltzer reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio that the reason why AEW decided to hold a house show event during the same week as WWE’s WrestleMania 37 festivities in Florida was due to the company wanting to financially capitalize on all of the outside fans traveling to Florida for WrestleMania weekend. Meltzer reported that AEW officials also wanted to give some of their talent who do not work often in front of crowds on AEW Dark and AEW Dark Elevation more experience working in front of large crowds.
NJPW Announces Full 1st Round Matches & Bracket for New Japan Cup USA 2021 Tournament
Following the final qualifying matches on this past Friday’s episode of NJPW Strong, New Japan Pro Wrestling announced the full list of first round matches and bracket for their upcoming New Japan Cup USA 2021 tournament.
This tournament will start on the April 2nd episode of NJPW Strong and will run through the month of April.

- Clark Connors vs. Lio Rush
- Brody King vs. Chris Dickinson
- Ren Narita vs. Tom Lawlor

ROH Announces Women’s Championship Tournament for This Summer
During Friday’s ROH 19th Anniversary Show event, Ring of Honor announced that they will be holding a new Women’s World Championship tournament during this summer.
It was also announced that the winner of this upcoming tournament will be crowned the new ROH Women’s World Champion.
No date was given for when this tournament will start but a qualifying match between Angelina Love and Quinn McKay was announced to be taking place prior to the tournament with the winner to receive a first round bye in the tournament.
