Several NXT and Performance Center wrestlers reportedly tested positive for COVID-19 in the past few days.
According to PWInsider, there have been “quite a few” positive tests over the past few days, but the names of people who tested positive are being kept private.
Several wrestlers, including some who have been exposed to people who tested positive, have been told to quarantine.
According to Dave Meltzer, the outbreak will affect at least some aspects of Wednesday’s NXT episode.
PWInsider and Meltzer say that one story going around is that on Thursday, several NXT and Performance Center wrestlers were helping to set up and move rings at the Performance Center in Orlando, and many people were not wearing masks. Meltzer also says that people who were not part of the ring setup have also tested positive.
People reportedly began to feel sick on Friday and WWE conducted several COVID tests, and a few people tested positive.
WWE and NXT have already had a few other outbreaks this year.
WWE has advertised the following for Wednesday’s NXT:
– Austin Theory vs. Dexter Lumis
– Isaiah Scott vs. Leon Ruff
– LA Knight in action
