In-Ring: Miz TV With The New Day
The Miz and John Morrison are in the ring for another edition of Miz TV. Miz is holding the Money in the Bank briefcase he got back last week on Raw. The Miz says tonight is Legends Night. Raw is jam paced with Drew McIntyre defending the WWE Championship against Keith Lee. We’ll also see Jeff Hardy take on Randy Orton. We also have legends.
John Morrison says we’ve got “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair, Torrie Wilson, Booker T, and Hulk Hogan. Miz says he’s forgetting someone. Morrison says The Miz, a WWE Legend, is also on the show. They shout, “CORRECT,” together. Miz says tonight is not only Legends Night. It is the first Raw of the new year. Miz is feeling optimistic about 2021 since WWE management came to its senses and restored the Money in the Bank contract to him. Morrison says this will be their year. Miz then introduces their first guests of the year: The New Day.
Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods of The New Day make their way to the ring. Miz welcomes them to the show, but Kingston thanks Miz and Morrison for being on THEIR talk show: New Day Talks. Woods plays a theme song on the trombone. Kingston says Woods is their band leader. Miz is confused. Kingston is going to tell them what their show is all about. They mock Miz and Morrison. Woods says he knows Kingston is vegan, but they’ll have beef. They’ll also have working Smell-O-Vision. Kingston lets out an exaggerated “CORRECT!” Miz asks if they’re done, but Woods cuts him off. Miz says this must be hosting practice for Woods before he bombs on G4. Kingston shouts, “INCORRECT!”
Kingston says Woods is also their bailiff. Woods produces a badge. Kingston has cue cards for questions. Does Miz have any New Years Resolutions. Morrison says he’ll graduate from hibachi chef school, invest, and take a picture every day to make a video montage at the end of the year. Out of all the legends, who do they want to go out to dinner with? Morrison wants to go out to dinner with Tatanka. Miz tells Morrison to stop giving into them. Miz says this interview has gone on long enough.
Kingston says it is time for the cooking portion of the show featuring celebrity chef Xavier Woods. Miz shouts that he’s had enough of them making a joke out of him. This is his show.
WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long makes his way out to the stage. Long says, “Hold on a minute there, playas!” In all his years as General Manager of Raw and SmackDown, he has the perfect solution: Miz and Morrison will face The Undertaker! The New Day flips out. WWE Official Adam Pearce runs out and whispers to Long. Long says Miz and Morrison will be in a tag team match against The New Day. That match is next!
The Miz & John Morrison vs. The New Day
John Morrison starts against Xavier Woods. They lock up, but Woods shoves him off. Woods rolls him up for a two count before kicking him in the midsection. Woods chops the chest and tags Kofi Kingston in. They double chop Morrison and give him a double-team facebuster. Kingston picks up a one count. Kingston hits a snapmare and tags Woods in. Kingston hits a running kick, and Woods hits a diving clothesline. Kingston hits a splash, and Woods follows up with a diving fist for a near fall. Morrison quickly stuns Woods with a strike and tags The Miz in. Miz attacks Woods with kicks and knees. Woods avoids a big boot and rolls him up for a two count. Woods slides out of a scoop slam and sends Miz to the corner. Kingston tags in and hits an avalanche. Woods follows up with an Honor Roll, and Kingston picks up a near fall on The Miz.
Kingston applies a side headlock to Miz before hitting a headlock takeover. Kingston cinches in the headlock, but Miz fights up and gets to the ropes. Miz elbows Kingston back and hooks a side headlock. Kingston whips him off, but Miz shoulder blocks him down. Miz hits the ropes, but Kingston leapfrogs him twice. Miz nearly catches him with a Skull Crushing Finale. Miz blocks a Trouble in Paradise and goes for a catapult, but Kingston fights back with a springboard cross-body block for a two count. Kingston kicks him down and tags Woods in. They mess with Miz by hitting a light double-team stomp for a two count. Miz fights out of a headlock. Morrison blind tags in. Woods hits Miz with a dropkick, but Morrison quickly takes him down. Woods avoids a standing shooting star press and tags Kingston in. They hit a chin lock/dropkick combination for a two count. Morrison reverses a whip to the corner and goes for a monkey flip, but Kingston flips through and twerks. Morrison angrily charges into a dropkick. Kingston then turns Morrison inside out with a monkey flip.
Miz runs in, but Woods clotheslines him down. Kingston then takes out Miz and Morrison with a leaping trust fall.
We come back from the break to see Kingston drop Morrison with a leaping clothesline. Kingston cuts Miz off before he runs in. Morrison then catches Kingston with a kick to the face. Miz tags in and punches away at Kingston. Miz puts Kingston on the ropes and rakes the eyes. The referee admonishes him, so Morrison attacks Kingston during the distraction. Morrison tags in and attacks Kingston for a near fall. Morrison applies a chin lock before backing him to the corner. Miz tags in and hits his patented corner clothesline for a near fall. Miz applies a surfboard stretch to Kingston. Kingston reverses it on him, but Miz knees him in the ribs. Miz goes for the Figure Four Leglock, but Kingston fights out and hits an SOS.
Woods and Morrison tag in. Woods hits a pair of clotheslines and a side kick. Miz runs in, but Woods sends him out of the ring. Morrison reverses a whip from Woods and hits a vicious forearm shiver. Woods is sent into the ropes, but he slides between Morrison’s legs and hits a forearm shiver of his own. Woods splashes Morrison against the ropes and ducks a clothesline from Miz. Kingston then leaps off the steps with a double axe handle on Miz. Woods goes for a slingshot DDT on Morrison, but Morrison counters into a roll-up and puts his feet on the ropes. Kingston knocks Morrison off the ropes. Woods kicks Morrison back and takes him down before hitting a Shining Wizard for the win.

Backstage: Randy Orton
Video Package: Alexa Bliss challenges Randy Orton to burn her alive on last week’s WWE Raw show. We last saw Orton holding a lit match.
Randy Orton is backstage with Charly Caruso and says the voices were telling him to light her up, but he couldn’t do it to Alexa Bliss. When you face The Fiend, something in you changes. Orton showed Alexa Bliss restraint, compassion, and mercy. For that, he hates himself for it. Then he realized that the hatred for himself can be molded and sculpted. There are no boundaries. Orton is capable of any and everything. Can you imagine if he directed that newfound hatred for himself toward someone else? She asks if he thinks The Fiend is coming back, but Orton wants to find some legends and have a talk. Orton will remind them why he is the Legend Killer.
Backstage: Angel Garza, Alicia Fox, Tatanka, Mickie James, Sgt. Slaughter

WWE 24/7 Champion Angel Garza is backstage with Alicia Fox. She asks if he’s seen the man on TikTok drinking cranberry juice, but he doesn’t know it. Fox walks off disgusted. Garza walks up to Tatanka, Mickie James, and Sgt. Slaughter. Slaughter calls him “puke.” Garza gives Mickie a rose, but Slaughter takes it, sniffs it, and calls Garza a “maggot.”
AJ Styles vs. Elias
The bell rings, and Styles quickly takes him down with a headlock. Elias fights up and hits a back suplex. Styles manages to hang onto the side headlock and turns Elias onto his stomach. Elias fights up and whips him off before hitting a back elbow. Elias kicks and chops him in the corner. Elias whips him to the corner and viciously takes him down for a two count. Styles fights back with some elbows to the head before chopping him. Elias reverses a whip, but he lowers his head and eats a kick. Styles charges, but Elias flapjacks him into the top rope. Elias presses him up and sends him into the top turnbuckle before connecting with a forearm to send him to the floor.
We come back from the break to see Elias punching away at Styles on the top rope. Elias goes for a superplex, but Styles slips through and drops him on the top rope. Styles forearms Elias back, but Elias forearms him back. They trade strikes in the center of the ring before Styles connects with a strike combination. Elias ducks a back fist and connects with a sit-out chokeslam for a near fall.
Elias stomps Styles and goes to the top rope, but Styles rolls to the other side of the ring. Tom Phillips says Jaxson Ryker is making Elias better in the ring… Styles kicks Elias back and goes for a Phenomenal Forearm, but Elias knees him out of mid-air for a near fall. Elias punches away at him before putting him in the electric chair. Styles counters into a hurricanrana into the turnbuckles. Styles connects with a beautiful brainbuster before executing a Styles Clash for the win.

Jaxson Ryker goes to hit Styles with a guitar, but Omos runs in and kicks it out of his hands! The guitar is obliterated! Ryker and Elias run back in fear.
Backstage: The Big Show, Riddle, Randy Orton
Riddle is backstage with The Big Show and singing his theme song to the lyrics, “The Big Bro.” Riddle says he’ll think of some more names and walks off. The Big Show then goes face-to-face with Randy Orton. Orton says it must be rough knowing he can’t compete anymore. Big Show asks who said that. Orton says the last time he was in the ring, he got hit with the three most deadly letters in sports-entertainment followed by a swift punt kick to the skull, ending his career. Big Show says he can compete whenever he wants. Orton grabs him by the throat, and Big Show laughs before sitting down. Big Show says he’s not going to do anything foolish and isn’t embarrassed to be out there with WWE Legends. Orton says he’s going to look for more legends and walks off without further incident.
Charlotte Flair & Asuka vs. Peyton Royce & Lacey Evans
Charlotte Flair makes her way to the ring accompanied by her father, the two-time WWE Hall of Famer “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair.
Charlotte Flair starts against Peyton Royce. They lock up, and Flair quickly takes her down. Lacey Evans tags in and waves at her father, Ric Flair. Flair takes Evans down and goes for a Figure Four Leglock, but Evans gets out of the ring. Flair chases her into the ring. Royce blind tags in and takes Flair down. Royce punches away at Flair, but Flair fights back with a forearm. Royce sends her to the corner, but Flair rolls up and lands on the apron. Flair takes her down, but Royce soon takes her down before hitting Asuka. Evans and Royce double-team Flair. Evans tags in, but Flair kicks and punches them both. Flair hits a backbreaker on Evans.
Asuka tags in and hits Evans with a missile dropkick. Asuka hits a hip attack to knock Evans to the floor before taking Royce down. Asuka hits a hip attack on Royce before hitting a bulldog/clothesline combo on Royce and Evans. Asuka picks up a two count on Royce. Royce gets out of a German Suplex with an elbow before knocking Asuka off the ropes to the floor. Evans flirts with Ric Flair at ringside, so Charlotte slaps her in the face. Evans spears her down, and they brawl.
We come back from the break to see Evans beating Asuka down in the corner. Evans stretches Asuka and tags Royce in. Royce kicks Asuka and shouts at Flair. Royce sends Asuka headfirst into the corner before whipping her by her hair. Evans tags in. Royce chokes Asuka with her boot before Evans hits a snapmare and applies a chin lock. Evans slams Asuka’s face off the canvas a few times before tagging Royce back in. Royce stops Asuka from making a tag, so Asuka fights her and Evans off. Asuka then clotheslines her down.
Flair and Evans tag in. Flair hits a clothesline on Evans and big boots Royce off the apron. Flair blocks a boot from Evans and punches her. Flair ties the leg up in the ropes and jumps on it. Flair chops Evans’ chest a few times before trying an exploder, but Evans gets out. Royce blind tags in. Flair hits Evans with an exploder suplex before hitting Royce with one. Asuka tags in as Flair goes to the top rope and hits a moonsault on Evans and Royce. Asuka hits Royce with a running kick to the head for a near fall. Royce gets out of a German Suplex. Flair tags in. Asuka hits Royce with a double knee facebuster. Flair hits Natural Selection, and Royce takes it horribly. Evans breaks up the pin. Asuka misses a hip attack on Evans. Evans snaps Asuka off the ropes and crawls seductively toward Ric Flair. Charlotte baseball slides Evans off the apron.
Flair gets in the ring and hits the ropes, but Ric Flair accidentally sweeps Charlotte’s feet while not looking, thinking she was Peyton Royce. Royce rolls Charlotte up for the win.

Lacey Evans kisses Ric Flair on the cheek and runs off with Royce. Ric looks nervous as Charlotte leaves the ring and gets in his face. She tells him to stay out of her business. She asks if he understands, and he nods. Ric looks like he’s going to cry. Charlotte tells Ric to get out.
Backstage: Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Hulk Hogan, Jimmy Hart
WWE Champion Drew McIntyre and Sheamus are backstage. Sheamus tells McIntyre to give Keith Lee an extra kick in the head. Hulk Hogan and “The Mouth of the South” Jimmy Hart walk up. Hogan says he’s McIntyre’s biggest fan and appreciates how he flew the WWE flag high during these crazy times. Hogan says McIntyre reminds him of himself. McIntyre says if Hogan is reminded of himself, maybe Sheamus is his Jimmy Hart. Sheamus doesn’t like that. Sheamus says he’ll see them for drinks after the show… except for Jimmy Hart. Hart chases him with his megaphone. Hogan says he has one question for McIntyre… and they both say Hogan’s catchphrase before posing.
Riddle vs. Bobby Lashley
Before the match starts, Riddle attacks Lashley from behind. Riddle punches away at Lashley before the referee backs him up.
The bell rings to start the match, and Riddle continues the attack. Riddle goes for a Kimura Lock, but Lashley slams him down. Lashley sends Riddle hard to the corner and elbows him. Riddle comes back with a head-scissor over the top rope. Riddle goes to kick him from the apron, but Lashley puts him in a fireman’s carry and wildly drives his head into the ring post.
We come back from the break to see Lashley continuing the attack on Riddle. During the commercial, Riddle charged into a one-armed spinebuster from Lashley. Riddle fights up and kicks Lashley. Lashley hits a big back elbow followed by a clothesline. Lashley applies a chin lock, but Riddle fights up. Lashley bounces him off the top turnbuckle and punches him in the ribs. Riddle tries to fight back, but Lashley viciously punches him down. Lashley charges, but Riddle sidesteps him. Lashley quickly grabs him and puts him in the corner. Lashley throws Riddle down and charges, but Riddle fights back with an overhead kick.
Riddle hits Lashley with a pair of running forearms before trying an exploder suplex. Lashley counters into a modified Dominator, but Riddle lands on his feet and connects with a PK. Riddle hits a Broton for a one count. Riddle connects with a Final Flash knee for another one count. MVP shouts at Riddle. Lashley cuts Riddle off on the top rope and KILLS him with a traditional Dominator. Lashley stands tall before applying the Hurt Lock. Riddle jumps off the ropes over the referee and taps out.
The referee didn’t see Riddle tap. MVP and Lashley argue with the referee, so Riddle rolls Lashley up for the win. Lashley has not been pinned since June 2020.

Backstage: Mark Henry, Ricochet, Randy Orton
Mark Henry, who has his knee on a bike to nurse an injury, is talking with Ricochet and telling him to keep his head up. Randy Orton walks up to him and says he’s entering the 2021 Royal Rumble match. Orton says after all the wear and tear, Henry will never compete in the Royal Rumble again. Orton asks how fast the scooter goes. Henry hopes it goes fast enough to get away from him. Orton stops him and says he wants to reminisce about Henry’s Hall of Pain and hitting Orton with the World’s Strongest Slam. Orton owes him a lot of receipts. Orton would give him a pass if he pedals out of here… or does Henry want him to hit him where he stands? Orton berates Henry as he scooters off.
Backstage: Bobby Lashley, MVP
Replays are shown of Riddle tapping out to Bobby Lashley, but the referee didn’t see it.
Charly Caruso is backstage with a livid Bobby Lashley and MVP. MVP says Riddle tapped out. There’s no controversy. Lashley says he’s going to punish Riddle the next time they meet.
Shayna Baszler vs. Dana Brooke
Shayna Baszler viciously attacks Mandy Rose as she makes her entrance. Dana Brooke runs down to check on her partner and shouts at Baszler. Brooke challenges Baszler to a match.
The bell rings, and Baszler attacks Brooke. Brooke throws Baszler out of the ring and lifts her up as she gets back in. Baszler easily slides off and goes for a Kirifuda Clutch, but Brooke counters into a roll-up for the win.
Winner by Pinfall: Dana Brooke
Baszler keeps the Kirifuda Clutch applied, but Mandy Rose runs in and knees her in the face. Rose and Brooke hit Baszler with a double-team flapjack and kick her out of the ring.
Backstage: Ric Flair, IRS, Molly Holly, Randy Orton
Ric Flair is backstage with I.R.S. and Molly Holly. They walk off when Randy Orton comes up to Flair. Orton says maybe Flair can walk him down the aisle for old time’s sake. Flair says he’ll never walk that aisle with him again. Flair had confidence in Orton, but he forgot about Evolution and everything he taught him. Orton says Flair isn’t what he used to be. He’s only relevant because his daughter is better than he ever was. Flair is nothing to him now. Flair is just a pathetic old man. Orton walks off.
Randy Orton vs. Jeff Hardy
The bell rings, and they lock up. Hardy powers him to the corner, but Orton turns him. Hardy turns him again, and Orton gives a clean break before hitting a thumb to the eye. Orton grabs him by the hair and hits a snapmare before stomping him. Orton digs his boot into Hardy’s forehead before throwing him out of the ring and bouncing him off the commentary table. Orton then connects with a back suplex on the commentary table. Orton looks for a count-out before going back outside to reset the count. Orton gets Hardy in the ring for a two count. Orton applies a hammerlock before stomping the arm. Hardy fights back, but Orton knees him in the midsection. Orton sends him hard into the corner, but Hardy pops out and hits a clothesline. Hardy drops a forearm and puts him in the corner. Hardy shoulders him in the midsection, but Orton fights back. Orton starts stomping Hardy’s hands before applying a chin lock. Hardy fights up and hits a neckbreaker. Hardy goes to the top rope, but Orton slides out of the ring. Hardy then takes Orton down with a diving clothesline off the apron.
We come back from the break to see Orton applying a chin lock to Hardy. Hardy fights up, but Orton takes him back down. Orton puts his fingers through the gage holes in Hardy’s ears and pulls at them! Orton then drops him down, stomps him, and attacks for a two count. Orton applies a chin lock. Hardy fights up and hits a jawbreaker. Orton quickly puts him on the apron and pulls him up to the ropes for a draping DDT, but Hardy fights it. Hardy hits an inverted atomic drop and a double leg drop. Hardy hits a low dropkick and splashes him for a near fall.
They trade punches before Orton knees him. Orton sends him into the ropes, but Hardy forearms him down. Orton reverses a whip to the corner, but Hardy boots him back and connects with Whisper in the Wind for a near fall. Orton soon blocks a kick, but Hardy knocks him out of the ring with a mule kick. Hardy connects with a baseball slide and puts him in the ring. Hardy goes to the top rope, but Orton rolls to the other side of the ring. Orton quickly kicks him and hits a draping DDT. Orton sets up for an RKO, but Hardy counters into a roll-up for a two count. Hardy goes for a Twist of Fate, but Orton counters into an RKO for the win.

The Lucha House Party are walking backstage when they bump into WWE Legend Melina. She does their “Lucha” chant, and they walk off.
The Hurt Business (Shelton Benjamin & Cedric Alexander) vs. Lucha House Party
MVP will be on commentary for this match.
Shelton Benjamin quickly takes Gran Metalik down. Metalik fights back and dives off the ropes for a hurricanrana, but Benjamin counters into a vicious powerbomb. Cedric Alexander tags in and clotheslines Metalik for a two count. Metalik flips through a suplex and boots Alexander back. Lince Dorado tags in and hits a springboard hurricanrana. Alexander immediately fights back with a falcon arrow. Alexander rakes the face and forearms him down. Alexander sends him into the ropes, but Dorado comes back with a handspring stunner. Benjamin tags in and hits Metalik with a knee. Benjamin then punches away at Dorado before Alexander blind tags in. Benjamin doesn’t look happy and blind tags himself in. They argue with each other before Dorado kicks Benjamin. Dorado sends Alexander out of the ring and rolls Benjamin up for the win.
Winners by Pinfall: Lucha House Party
MVP is furious and speaks with Alexander and Benjamin. They argue before Alexander walks off.
Backstage: Angel Garza, Torrie Wilson, Nikki Cross, The Boogeyman, R-Truth
WWE 24/7 Champion Angel Garza walks up to Torrie Wilson, who is speaking with Nikki Cross. Garza says he wants to give Wilson the rose. She says she brought Ariana Grande and Cardi B to Raw and tells him to go to the dressing room down the hall. Garza falls for that and goes into the dressing room. The Boogeyman scares him, and R-Truth rolls him up to win the WWE 24/7 Championship back. R-Truth skips off with Torrie Wilson and Nikki Cross.

Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Keith Lee
All the WWE Legends that were at the show tonight, including Booker T and Jeff Jarrett that weren’t used on the show, are on the stage to watch this match.
They lock up, and McIntyre powers him to the corner. McIntyre gives a clean break after pressing him into the ropes. They lock up, and Lee powers McIntyre to the corner before powering him up to the second rope. McIntyre shoves him away and applies a neck vice. Lee rolls out and goes for a shoulder tackle, but they both stand upright. McIntyre charges. Lee goes to leapfrog him, but he trips. Lee saves it by staying down for a dropdown. Lee then shoulder blocks him down. McIntyre shoves him. Lee shoves him back and says this is a championship match. McIntyre slaps him in the face and chops him. McIntyre punches away at him in the corner before chopping him. Lee blocks a whip, but he lowers his head and eats a kick. Lee pops back up and forearms him in the face. McIntyre rolls out of the ring to recover. A bad replay shows Lee whiffing on the move.
McIntyre gets in the ring and kicks Lee in the arm a few times to knock him down to his knees. McIntyre puts him into the corner and chops the chest. Lee quickly clotheslines McIntyre over the top rope and follows him out. Lee knocks McIntyre back and connects with a Pounce that sends McIntyre over the barricade.
We come back from the break to see McIntyre hit Lee with a jawbreaker. Lee viciously sends him to the corner, and McIntyre collapses to the mat for a two count. Lee punches away at McIntyre. Lee shoulders away at him in the corner before throwing him down. Lee quickly punches McIntyre down before stomping him. Lee picks up a two count. McIntyre punches back at Lee, but Lee easily scoops him up and slams him down for a two count. Lee clubs McIntyre in the back and hits another scoop slam. Lee picks up a two count. The WWE Legends are shown clapping.
Lee whips McIntyre to the corner and charges, but McIntyre sidesteps him. McIntyre blocks Grizzly Magnum and chops him. McIntyre pushes him into the ropes and goes for an overhead belly-to-belly suplex, but Lee fights it. McIntyre punches him and tries for the suplex again, but Lee elbows out. Lee lifts him up, but McIntyre shoves him off. McIntyre powers him to the corner before hitting an overhead belly-to-belly suplex!
McIntyre hits a neckbreaker and kips up. Lee sidesteps a Claymore Kick, but McIntyre comes back with a crucifix roll-up for a two count. Lee fights back with a one-armed slam for a two count. McIntyre rolls out of the ring to recover. Lee is on the apron, so McIntyre grabs him and powerbombs him through the commentary table!
We come back from the break to see McIntyre connect with a top rope diving clothesline for a near fall. McIntyre goes for a Future Shock DDT, but Lee counters into Grizzly Magnum before viciously clotheslining him down for a near fall. Lee sizes McIntyre up and goes for a clothesline, but McIntyre counters into a backslide attempt. Lee powers McIntyre up and flips him over. McIntyre quickly fights back with a Future Shock DDT for a near fall.
Piped in chants of “This is awesome” are heard. Tatanka looks like he’s sarcastically chanting it. McIntyre goes to the top rope, but Lee head-butts him in the ribs. Lee climbs to the top rope and pulls McIntyre up. Lee then spikes himself on his face with a Spanish Fly for a near fall!
Lee lifts McIntyre, but McIntyre fights back and hits a spinebuster. McIntyre catches him with a jackknife pin for a near fall. McIntyre sizes Lee up, but Lee blocks a Claymore Kick. McIntyre gets out of a Spirit Bomb, ducks a clothesline, and connects with a Claymore Kick for the win.

Goldberg makes his way to the ring. Goldberg says he was thinking McIntyre is a great representative, but he doesn’t have respect. McIntyre thinks the legends are washed up and don’t pose a threat, but they’re wrong. Goldberg isn’t demanding anything. Goldberg challenges McIntyre for a WWE Championship match at the Royal Rumble. McIntyre says that’s not the case, but fighting Goldberg would be like fighting his dad. The copyright graphic comes up, so they’re about to cut out. Goldberg shoves him and the show IMMEDIATELY cuts away.
