Drew McIntyre to address the WWE Universe tonight on Raw
With the announcement of the WWE champion testing positive for COVID-19, we can confirm Drew McIntyre will make his first comments tonight on Raw.
McIntyre was scheduled to face Randy Orton tonight in a WWE Championship match. WrestleVotes says that “WWE is keeping Randy Orton in tonight’s main event and are working on finding a suitable replacement to match up against the College Football Championship Game.”
Fightful Select says that some other wrestlers from WWE, AEW and Impact have also tested positive for COVID-19 recently, but McIntyre is the only one that has been made public for now.
WWE sources told Fightful that they were expecting there to be a few positive tests coming out of the holidays, where people were involved in large gatherings.
Wednesday’s AEW show was already taped last week, so it likely won’t be effected, other than the Britt Baker vs. Thunder Rosa match already being pulled due to Rosa coming in contact with someone who tested positive.
Tomorrow’s Impact show was also already taped a few weeks ago.
