WWE’s contract with the Amway Center in Orlando, where shows have been held for the past few months, is currently set to expire on November 24.
The NBA is currently planning to start another season in December and the Orlando Magic play in the Amway Center. The NBA has said that they would prefer that teams play at their individual arenas in the coming season rather than in the NBA “bubble” again. The Orlando Solar Bears of the ECHL hockey league will also begin playing at the Amway Center in December.
The contract itself has not changed between #WWE and Amway Center. With the #NBA looking to start its season in December, and the #ECHL‘s Orlando Solar Bears beginning play as well on approximately Dec. 11, this appears to be the end of ThunderDome’s run in Orlando.

This means that WWE will need to look for another arena to move the ThunderDome, and it will likely be one that doesn’t have a pro sports team playing in it.
According to WrestleVotes, WWE is currently planning to leave by December 1 and is looking at arenas in North Carolina, Texas and Illinois.
A newer arena is preferred as the weight of the ThunderDome won’t work with older buildings. Also, a major travel hub is needed as talent will be flying in and out each week. Not the easiest combination of things to find.
