Thunder Rosa lost the NWA Women’s Championship on Tuesday to Serena Deeb, which started speculation that she could be on her way out of the company.
Dave Meltzer then tweeted that both WWE and AEW had interest in her.
Serena Deeb of AEW (sorry) won the NWA women’s title from Thunder Rosa tonight. We did hear about this likely happening and that both WWE & AEW had interest in her.

But NWA owner Billy Corgan said on Instagram that she was not leaving the NWA and was under contract with them “through 2021.” When someone asked if Rosa was leaving, he said, “No. You have to love press and media reports that don’t contact the company she is under contract to and instead and instead listen to someone who has my email address but doesn’t write and ask. She’s under contract through 2021 and there’s a reason for that (it’s called excellence and faith).”

Meltzer added last night on Wrestling Observer Radio that he was told a couple of weeks ago that Rosa would be dropping the NWA title because she wants to go to WWE. He also said that AEW is under the impression that she will continue to work dates for them as well as the NWA.
Rosa has also been playing up the rumors on social media in the past day.

On a recent interview with the Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling Podcast, Rosa said that she “might be taking a little bit of time from professional wrestling” so that she can focus on MMA.
I talked to Combate [Americas] and we’re seeing either before they start or when they start, I wanted have one more fight… so I can get my feet wet again, and so I’m more ready for the bigger stage. I probably will have a local fight, by February. That’s what we’re looking at.
Yeah, so that means I might be taking a little bit of time from professional wrestling so I can focus on my fight camp.
