WWE reportedly recently had another major COVID-19 outbreak take place at their Performance Center, according to the Wrestling Observer.
Dave Meltzer reported that details regarding this newest outbreak is currently sparse other than it occurred this past Friday and several people who were at the Performance Center were told to quarantine for two weeks for contract tracing reasons. Meltzer reported that it is currently not known how many people tested positive for the coronavirus from this latest outbreak.
In regards to NXT, Meltzer reported that some of his sources stated that those affected included people scheduled for tonight’s Halloween Havoc episode of NXT and certain plans for the show were going to be changed. Another source had stated that nobody who is an NXT television regular was among those who tested positive. Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp later reported that at least one NXT talent who had been scheduled to appear in a non-wrestling capacity was pulled from tonight’s show due to coronavirus-related reasons.
In regards to the status of fans at the Capitol Wrestling Center, Meltzer reported that at the moment, WWE is still planning for fans to attend tonight’s and future NXT tapings although they will only be allowed to enter the venue if they pass their COVID-19 testing.
Prior to reports revealing the newest outbreak at the Performance Center, at least one notable NXT talent had publicly vented on Twitter hinting that some within WWE’s developmental system were still not taking the coornavirus pandemic seriously.
If I’ve learnt anything from this pandemic it’s that a lot of people are real selfish PIECES OF TRASH.
