UWN’s Primetime Live Series Debut News & Notes
The debut episode of United Wrestling Network’s Primetime Live series reportedly ran into several major issues, according to PWInsider.
Mike Johnson reported that UWN had streaming issues early into the show affecting those who were watching on FITE TV but did not affect those who watched the show on traditional cable PPV providers. UWN also reportedly had timing issues throughout the show which led to three matches being cut back for time, such as the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship match between Mike Bennett and Nick Aldis.
UWN President Dave Marquez reportedly was the director for the debut episode.
Despite being mentioned on air, NWA President Billy Corgan reportedly was not at the event.
Johnson reported that all of the backstage interviews on the show were not live and instead had been taped earlier in the afternoon.
Johnson also reported that several hours before the event, there was a power outage in Long Beach, California, which is where host venue Thunder Studios is located.
