AEW Reschedules Several Dynamite Tapings to Summer 2021
As noted before, AEW postponed several Dynamite television tapings that were originally scheduled to take place this past Spring due to the coronavirus pandemic. The company had tentatively rescheduled several of those postponed dates for October and November.
AEW recently announced that they have made changes to their tapings schedule again and several of those previously planned October and November television tapings will now be taking place on June and July in 2021.
The scheduling changes made were:
- The October 7th Dynamite tapings at the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri will now take place on June 23, 2021.
- The October 28th Dynamite tapings at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena in Milwaukee, Wisconsin will now take place on July 14, 2021
- The November 4th Dynamite tapings at the Feritta Center in Houston, Texas will now take place on June 30, 2021
- The November 11th Dynamite tapings at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, New York will now take place on June 16, 2021.
ROH COO Joe Koff Comments on ROH’s Resumption of TV Tapings
A recent episode of the Outside Interference podcast had Ring of Honor’s COO Joe Koff as the guest. One of the topics discussed included his thoughts on the company’s resumption of television tapings and their decision to not hold tapings earlier in Florida.
“We could have wrestled in Florida, where the other two major promotions wrestle, where there seems to be no real rules. The Governor just says, ‘be careful.’ It was too far for my group since we’re based in Baltimore. A lot of my production people are in Baltimore. It was decided by me and others that if we were going to do an event, it would be in Baltimore. It had to be the right time. If I couldn’t have gotten approved by Maryland and not accepted their testing protocols, then we would have taped in October. I had enough content to fill a year’s worth of television. I wanted to present a product. I wanted to let my guys work again. It was the safest possible time for us to do it. We plan on doing another (taping) in October, pending how things are going in Maryland. Hopefully, we get on a more regular schedule.”
