WWE Reportedly Interested in Signing Jeff Cobb
WWE reportedly has recently been interested in signing Jeff Cobb to a potential contract with the company.
During a recent interview with Fightful Select (via WrestleTalk), Cobb stated that WWE had contacted him during his free agency period for talks regarding a potential deal with the company. Cobb also stated that he had been in talks with various other companies regarding a new contract although Impact Wrestling was not one of those companies.
In a recent episode of the Wrestling Inc. Daily podcast with Cobb as the guest, Cobb revealed that he has recently signed an official contract with an unnamed company but he is still working as a free agent in the meantime until the official announcement is made.
“Well, technically I’m a free agent until whatever group announces that I signed. I’m enjoying what I’m doing. I was going to make a decision but then this craziness kind of happened. So kind of just laying low until the company announces it, and then we’ll go from there.
I want the company to do it so the company will get the recognition. I’d rather them do it that way they can get the spotlight instead of me, and I’ll go from there.”

Brandi Rhodes on AEW’s Decision to Air Women’s Tag Tournament on YouTube
TV Insider held a recent interview with Brandi Rhodes and one of the topics discussed included AEW’s decision to air their Women’s Tag Team Cup Tournament on YouTube instead of on AEW television.
“With YouTube, it’s its own show. That means we are trusted enough to carry our own show and don’t have to be compared to men. We were also not restricted on time. So it’s really the dream scenario. Better than finding out when we are live and something went long, you may only have four minutes to put it out there. That’s really hard, especially when you are trying to introduce new women and put that kind of pressure on them. Being it’s our own show without the restraints and to be able to tell these stories how we want to is a really great situation.”
NJPW G1 Climax 2020 Tournament Update
New Japan Pro Wrestling recently issued an official update regarding the schedule for this year’s G1 Climax tournament.
The company announced that as part of their current health safety precautions for the coronavirus pandemic in Japan, the undercard format for this year’s G1 Climax tournament events has been changed. Unlike prior years, tournament competitors will not be competing at G1 Climax shows that do not feature their own tournament matches. This means that A Block competitors will not wrestle on B Block shows and vice versa.
Thank you for your continued support of New Japan Pro-Wrestling.
As part of our ongoing Coronavirus prevention measures, we will limit the number of wrestlers participating on the G1 Climax 30 tour.
B block tournament entrants will not compete on A block nights and vice versa throughout the tour, which begins in Osaka on September 19.
