Austin Theory has been absent from WWE’s RAW brand since June 8th and from WWE television in general since the June 17th episode of WWE Main Event. Following WWE’s coronavirus outbreak at the Performance Center, Theory’s absence was rumored to have been due to him testing positive for COVID-19.
While answering a recent fan question on Twitter, the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer stated that Theory’s current absence is actually due to him serving an “unannounced suspension of sorts.” No other details regarding this suspension were given.

Besides rumors of coronavirus, Theory had been among those accused during this past June’s #SpeakingOut sexual harassment and abuse controversy that engulfed the wrestling industry.
