Kairi Sane WWE Contract Update
As noted before, Kairi Sane’s career in WWE might be coming to an end soon due to Sane’s desire to return to Japan to be closer to her husband and wanting one final run in Japan before retiring.
TalkSPORT’s Alex McCarthy reported that while reports of Sane wanting to leave WWE are true, it is currently not a lock to happen based on his sources within the company. McCarthy also reported that WWE very likely will offer Sane a new deal soon to entice her to stay.
FWIW, I’ve been told it’s not a lock Kairi Sane departs WWE.

*Full transparency, I really hope she stays. Selfishly.
Those reports about Sane considering going home are true.

But WWE likely to make her another offer yet. And a good one.
Shayna Baszler WWE Status Update
As noted before, Shanya Baszler’s has been absent from WWE television since the May 18th episode of RAW due to Vince McMahon having “completely soured” on her status as a potential big star for the women’s division and her style of wrestling.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that Baszler was seen this past week at the WWE Performance Center and competed in a match that was taped for a future episode of Main Event.
Johnson’s report did not state when this episode will air nor who her opponent was.
Nikki Cross Comments on Her Upcoming Match Against Bayley at Extreme Rules
SportsNet held a recent interview with Nikki Cross and one of the topics discussed included her thoughts on her upcoming SmackDown Women’s Championship match against Bayley at WWE’s Extreme Rules event.
“It’s such a big opportunity for me. I love being in the tag team division and competing for those tag team championships with Alexa, but the challenge is in making that transition into a singles championship match against Bayley, one of the most celebrated women’s champions. For me, it’s a chance to show how much I’ve grown as a performer over the last year-and-a-half. So I’m excited for people to see aspects of my in-ring game that they might not have necessarily seen, maybe moves that I haven’t done before. I’m excited for people to see and it’s such an opportunity and I don’t want to let the WWE Universe down, don’t want to let my fans down, don’t want to let Alexa down. I owe it to myself to have the best performance and walk away with my first-ever singles championship.”
