WWE: Ric Flair to Appear on RAW, Bianca Belair Status Update, Backstage Producer Rehired

WWE Announces Ric Flair Appearance for This Monday’s RAW

During this past Friday’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, WWE aired a commercial announcing that Ric Flair will be making an appearance during this Monday’s episode of RAW at the Performance Center.

The commercial stated that Flair will be crowning Randy Orton as the greatest wrestler ever due to his victory over Edge in a “Greatest Wrestling Match Ever” at last Sunday’s Backlash event.

This will be the second appearance in a row by Flair for the RAW brand, the first being this past Monday’s episode which featured him hitting a low blow on Christian.

Bianca Belair Status Update

As noted before, Bianca Belair made her official main roster debut for the RAW brand this past April at WrestleMania 36. Belair initially feuded with Zelina Vega and her group before being removed from television shortly after the start of the Viking Raiders vs. Street Profits feud.

Dave Meltzer reported on the F4WOnline.com forums that the reason why Belair was taken off from RAW television was due to WWE officials feeling that she did not fit in with the “wacky” direction planned for the Viking Raiders vs. Street Profits feud. Meltzer also reported that WWE officials also did not have any creative plans for her, which was another reason for her lack of television time in recent weeks.

WWE Rehires Backstage Producer

WWE reportedly has recently re-hired backstage producer Pat Buck, according to PWInsider.

Mike Johnson reported that Buck was seen backstage working at both the RAW and SmackDown television tapings earlier this week at WWE’s Performance Center.

Buck had been among those released and furloughed by the company this past April as part of the company’s cost-cutting measures in response to the coronavirus pandemic. Johnson reported that prior to his rehiring, there had been recent talks within the company for him to be eventually brought back.

Johnson also reported that it is currently not known if any other backstage producers who were released or furloughed have been brought back by the company.
