In-Ring: Randy Orton, Christian
Randy Orton makes his way to the ring. The commentators state that Edge tore his triceps last night. Orton says last night at WWE Backlash, he did exactly what he said he was going to do. He embarrassed and humiliated Edge. He wrote the final chapter in Edge’s story of redemption. Orton also gave him closure. He knew when he saw Edge in January at the Royal Rumble when he returned to the ring that he knew he would never be the competitor he was back in the day. All Edge needed to do was let Orton help him, but he was stubborn and resisted. All he needed to do was trust Orton just like Orton trusted him years ago when Edge saved him from his own self-destruction. At WrestleMania, he wasn’t the last man standing, but he stands here victorious after the greatest wrestling match ever. That makes him the greatest wrestler ever, and he doesn’t need a WWE Title to prove it.
Orton does need to thank Edge for reigniting the fire in his gut. Edge helped him remember what it’s like to be the Legend Killer. Orton wishes Edge was here so he could thank him. Orton knows why Edge isn’t here. It’s not just because he Punted his skull. Orton also tore Edge’s triceps clean off the bone. Orton knew when it happened and could have ended it, but he wanted to keep going and make Edge suffer so he could send Edge back home to be a husband and father to Lyric, Ruby, and Beth. Edge is in some god forsaken hospital on an operating table while a team of doctors try to surgically reattach that muscle to the bone. Edge has another mountain to climb. Orton hopes he reaches the peak of that mountain. Orton hears Edge will be clear in July… July of 2029. Hopefully their paths cross again in nine years.
Christian’s music hits! Christian asks what kind of man Orton is. Orton thinks he’s a Legend Killer, but Christian thinks he’s cold, calculating, and a son of a bitch. Orton laughs. Christian says Orton is wrong about Edge’s career being over. Edge has never quit and won’t quit now. Orton doesn’t have a say on when it’s over. Edge will get his closure on his terms, not Orton’s. Orton cannot believe Christian came down the ramp to interrupt him. This isn’t about Christian. It’s about him and Edge. Christian is nothing more than jealous of his friend. Orton sees the look in Christian’s eye. Orton knows what Christian wants. Christian wants one more match. Christian and Edge are the same. Christian cannot accept the fact that this was taken from him before he was ready to say goodbye. Christian isn’t medically cleared to compete, but Orton has a way around that. Orton suggests they fight tonight in an unsanctioned match. Christian thinks about it. Orton says the offer expires by the end of the night. If he doesn’t accept, it proves what everyone knows: Christian is nothing more than a coward.

Andrade and Garza argued after. Caruso asks about the incident. Vega starts to talk, but Garza takes it. Garza can only imagine the heartbreak of Andrade. He feels for him, but they feel for Kevin Owens. Angel Garza will prove that Owens is inferior. Garza then asks Caruso to interview him after the match. Andrade walks up and says he hopes Garza beats Owens, but if he doesn’t, he hopes he can get over the disappointment.

Video Package: Drew McIntyre defeats Bobby Lashley at Backlash to retain the WWE Championship

Lashley says they’re in the middle of a strategic conversation about their tag team match against R-Truth and McIntyre. MVP says after waiting for 13 years for a WWE Championship opportunity, due to circumstances outside of Lashley’s control, he lost that opportunity. They’re going to address that now.
In-Ring: Bobby Lashley, Lana, MVP
Bobby Lashley and MVP make their way to the ring. MVP says Lana is selfish and just wanted to catch her husband’s eye last night. It’s completely Lana’s fault that Lashley is not the WWE Champion. If Drew McIntyre had any integrity, he’d have given Lashley a rematch on the spot. Instead he’s hiding behind another man’s wife.
Lana comes out and says it was Lashley’s stupid idea to banish her from ringside. She would never do anything to hurt him. To be honest, she does everything for her Bobby. She put his career over his. She colored her hair brown and got a divorce for him. All the blessings and prosperity came to him because of her. All the problems happened when MVP showed up. MVP calls her a “thot” and says she’s the problem. The whole world doesn’t revolve around her. Lana warns him not to talk to her like that. MVP is a snake and got into this relationship to manipulate Lashley. MVP says before he showed up, Lashley hadn’t been around the WWE Championship. Lana tells him to lower his tone and show respect. MVP is the problem. They were on a hot streak…
Lashley asks when’s the last time she laced up a pair of boots or won anything other than likes on social media. He had an opportunity at the title against a lesser man, but she couldn’t follow instructions. Lashley is tired of having his life on social media and even used their sex life to get attention. Lana says if she wanted to broadcast their sex lives and get famous, she’d have slept with someone more famous like Drew. Lashley says he wants a divorce and walks off with MVP. Lana looks stunned.
The Viking Raiders & The Street Profits vs. Akira Tozawa & Ninjas
Video Package: Street Profits vs. Viking Raiders in an “Anything you can do, I can do better” rivalry

The facts are Mysterio is a hero and sacrificed himself for the greater good of Monday Night Raw. Sadly, Rey Mysterio declined his invitation. Rey Mysterio shows up on the titantron. Rollins says it’s great to see him and asks if he’s ok. Mysterio says he didn’t know Dominik was on his way to Raw until it was too late. Whether he likes it or not, Dominik is part of the future. Rollins needs Mysterio to do his fatherly duties and wants him to help Dominik. Rollins implores Mysterio to have Dominik join him, Murphy, and Theory to fight for the greater good. Mysterio says Rollins is loco. Dominik will never join Rollins. Rollins says if that’s not the case, Mysterio is leaving him with very few options. Murphy and Theory are looking for Dominik and will find him. He must be part of the solution, not the problem. If he’s part of the problem, Dominik will be sacrificed. Mysterio says if Rollins or any of his goons touch Dominik, he will end him. Rollins says he’s heard Mysterio loud and clear. An eye for an eye… that’s what Dominik said. Fortunately for Dominik, Mysterio doesn’t make the decisions for him. Dominik is an adult and gets to make his own choices. Dominik has two roads to take: stand by Rollins fighting for the greater good or he can make the choice Mysterio made and become a sacrifice. Either way he thanks Mysterio…

Lashley says R-Truth is trying to make jokes at his expense. R-Truth can back it up. He’s teaming with the WWE Champion. Lashley says that’s later, but he doesn’t see McIntyre anywhere. R-Truth walks off.
After commercials, Bobby Lashley and MVP are looking for R-Truth. R-Truth comes out from under a practice ring, and WWE Champion Drew McIntyre shows up with him. MVP says McIntyre should give Lashley a rematch based on what happened. If he’s so tough, tonight’s tag match should be a Winner Take All Championship Match. R-Truth agrees! McIntyre tells R-Truth to be quiet. Lashley goads McIntyre into accepting!
