More on AEW’s Signing of Ricky Starks
As noted before, former NWA wrestler Ricky Starks made his official AEW debut during this past Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite. Following the show, AEW CEO Tony Khan announced on Twitter that Starks had signed an official contract with the company.
Dave Meltzer reported in a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that Starks’ match against Cody was meant to be a tryout for the company. Starks’ performance impressed AEW officials enough that he was presented with an official contract afterwards.
Meltzer also reported that besides the contract, AEW officials also already have plans in place for an upcoming program for him on AEW television.
After. Legitimately. His performance on #AEWDynamite really did seal the deal in my eyes and on paper and in reality.
