Kickoff Match
Natalya vs. Liv Morgan
Liv Morgan played the underdog role, with Natalya controlling most of the match but Liv getting some offense in here and there. In the end, Natalya went for a Sharpshooter, but Liv reversed it into a small package for a near fall. Liv hit Natalya with an enzuigiri, then did a victory roll, but Natalya reversed for a pin attempt of her own, but Liv reversed into another victory roll pin… 1-2-3.
Winner: Liv Morgan (6:25)

Dolph Ziggler was leaving a voicemail for Mandy Rose backstage, pleading with her to not throw everything away because of a “misunderstanding.” Sonya Deville showed up and said that Mandy won’t answer her calls or texts either. They said that they were just looking out for Mandy’s best interest. Kayla Braxton came up and asked them if they have anything to say about sabotaging Mandy and Otis. Dolph and Sonya got mad at the “ambush” question and walked off.
Intro: Stephanie McMahon
Stephanie welcomed us to WrestleMania again, saying that it’s a two night show for the first time in WrestleMania history.
Host: Rob Gronkowski
Gronkowski gave basically the same intro speech as last night. He said WrestleMania is “too big for one night” and it’s Sunday and “I know a thing or two about dropping a hammer on a championship Sunday.”
NXT Womenβs Championship
Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Charlotte Flair
Charlotte worked on Ripley’s left leg throughout the match and Ripley screamed in pain after each move. Each time Ripley tried to fight back, Charlotte would go after her leg again.
Ripley was finally able to gain control, stomping on Charlotte’s stomach, then locking her in the standing cloverleaf… but Charlotte escaped.
Later, Charlotte went for a top rope moonsault, but Ripley moved out of the way. Charlotte landed on her feet and nailed Ripley with a spear, but she kicked out.
Charlotte locked on the Figure Four… then bridged into the Figure Eight as Ripley screamed in pain… and she tapped. This match was really good. Told a story throughout.
Winner and new NXT Women’s Champion: Charlotte Flair (20:30)
Aleister Black vs. Bobby Lashley
Lashley controlled most of the match. In the end, Lashley picked up Black on his shoulder, but Lana got up on the apron and screamed “spear him!” Lashley put Black down and blew a kiss to Lana, then prepared for a spear, but as he ran at Black, Black nailed him with a Black Mass. 1-2-3. Lashley looked at Lana with a shocked expression after the match.
Winner: Aleister Black (7:20)
Backstage: Sasha Banks, Bayley

Bayley said that this match is unfair because she has to beat four other women. Kayla Braxton said including her best friend Sasha. Bayley said that everyone is trying to drive a wedge between herself and Sasha but it’s not gonna happen, then she walked off. Kayla said that Sasha has never been SmackDown Women’s Champion and asked Sasha how badly she wants the title. Sasha smiled and said we’ll all have to just wait and see.
Interview: Rob Gronkowski

Charly Caruso said that it seemed like Mojo Rawley stole his chance to win the 24/7 title last night. Gronk said that he wouldn’t be surprised if he wins the title by the end of tonight.
Otis vs. Dolph Ziggler
Ziggler was accompanied to the ring by Sonya Deville, and Otis came out alone. Early in the match, Otis ran a Ziggler on the outside but missed and smashed into the ring steps, allowing Ziggler to take control.
After a few minutes, Otis started to “Hulk up” and took control of the match, hitting a series of offense. Otis went for the Caterpillar, but Sonya got up on the apron and distracted the ref, allowing Ziggler to kick Otis right in the balls.
Mandy Rose’s music suddenly hit and she ran down and slapped Sonya Deville right in the face. Ziggler said “What are you doing out here? You’re ruining everything!” She gave him a low blow…
Caterpillar by Otis, and an elbow drop. 1-2-3.
Mandy got in the ring and hugged Otis and they celebrated together. Otis picked her up in his arms and they kissed. :)

Last Man Standing Match
Edge vs. Randy Orton
Edge entered first, then Orton’s music hit… Suddenly, Orton, who was dressed as a hooded cameraman behind Edge, snuck up from behind and nailed Edge with an RKO!
The ref asked Edge if he was OK and he was wobbly, but said yes. The bell rang and Orton hit another RKO immediately. The ref counted to 9 but Edge rolled out of the ring. Orton nailed him with the camera at ringside. Orton attacked Edge in the gym area of the Performance Center. He tried to hang/choke Edge with one of the weight machines……. He grabbed a barbell weight, but Edge kicked it into his face.
They continued to brawl around the gym for several minutes. Each time anyone would do a move, the ref would count to 9, then they would do another move and the ref would count to 9 again. Over and over. Boring… Taking way too long…
They continued to brawl throughout the building, into the hallways and into a conference room. Orton would knock Edge down and the ref would count again… Incredibly slow…
Byron Saxton is doing a “serious voice” on commentary throughout… Incredibly low energy quiet monotone voice… Unbearable. The worst commentary I have ever heard in my life.
This match is awful. Nothing is happening. Just punching and throwing into walls and endless counting by the ref. Just fucking sucks and Saxton is making it about 50x worse.
They fought into a warehouse area. Edge climbed on a shelf about 10 feet up and hit an elbow drop on Orton through a table. Saxton is killing me.
They climbed on top of an NXT semi truck. Orton ran at Edge, but Edge hit him with a spear. Edge ran at him again but Orton hit an RKO. Edge got up at 9. Orton hit him on the back with a chair, then put a chair on the floor and laid Edge’s head on it. Orton grabbed another chair and went for a con-chair-to, but Edge jumped up and locked on a chokehold type submission… The ref started to count, but Edge told him to stop. Orton’s head lay on a chair on top of the truck. Edge looked at him in anguish, then got up with the other chair in his arms… and smashed it on Orton’s head. The ref slowly counted… to 10. Edge wins. Edge stood over Orton’s lifeless body as his theme hit. That felt about 25 minutes too long. Not good. Not good at all. Horrible.
Winner: Edge (36:35)
Segment: Rob Gronkowski, 24/7 Title
All of a sudden, a bunch of guys came out chasing Mojo Rawley. Gronk jumped off of the balcony onto everyone, knocking them all down. He then pinned Mojo and he’s the new 24/7 Champ. Gronk stomped on Mojo a couple of times then ran off with his title.
New 24/7 Champion: Rob Gronkowski
Raw Tag Team Championship
The Street Profits (c) vs. Angel Garza & Austin Theory
I feel completely drained from that last match… Everyone in this match was trying hard, trying to bring up the energy. Bringing some life back into me…
A few minutes in, Theory hit a TKO on Dawkins, but Ford jumped off with a springboard frog splash onto Theory as he was pinning Dawkins. Dawkins pinned Theory for the win. Felt like a basic short Raw match.
Winners: The Street Profits (6:20)
After the match, Garza and Theory attacked the Street Profits. They held up Ford and Zelina Vega hit him with a kick to the head. Bianca Belair, who’s married to Ford, ran down and attacked Vega and gave her the KOD as the Street Profits fought off Garza and Theory. Belair’s theme hit and she celebrated with Ford and Dawkins.
New Host: Titus O’Neil

Titus stood on the balcony and said that he’s the new host now that Gronk ran out with the 24/7 title. He said that the show goes on…
SmackDown Women’s Championship
Fatal 5-Way Elimination Match
Bayley (c) vs. Sasha Banks vs. Lacey Evans vs. Tamina vs. Naomi
A few minutes in, Sasha, Naomi and Tamina seemed to form an alliance, being former “Team BAD” teammates. But Tamina superkicked Sasha and they all fought each other. Elbow drop off the top by Bayley on Tamina, then a top rope splash by Sasha on Tamina. Moonsault by Lacey, and a split legged moonsault by Naomi. Everyone climbed on Tamina for the pin, and she’s out.
Tamina was eliminated.
Naomi locked on a submission and it looked like Sasha was going to tap, but Bayley made the save, helping her friend. Sasha locked on the Bank Statement on Naomi, and she tapped.
Naomi was eliminated by Sasha Banks.
Sasha and Bayley doubleteamed Lacey. Bayley ran at Lacey, but she moved and Bayley accidentally hit Sasha, knocking her out of the ring. Sasha seemed upset, but Bayley said let’s focus and we’ll talk about this later. Lacey tried to punch Sasha, but Bayley saved Sasha, shoving her out of the way. Lacey knocked down Bayley then nailed Sasha with a Woman’s Right…
Sasha Banks was eliminated by Lacey Evans.
Bayley and Lacey were the final two. Bayley took control and tied Lacey’s hand to the turnbuckle rope. But Lacey gave Bayley a big boot and untied herself. Lacey hit a top rope moonsault on Bayley… Suddenly, Sasha ran into the ring and nailed Lacey with a Backstabber. There’s no DQ apparently. Bayley drove Lacey’s face into the mat and picked up the win.
After the match, Sasha wrapped the belt around Bayley’s waist and stared her down a bit…
Winner: Bayley (19:20)
Firefly Fun House Match
John Cena vs. “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt
Cena made his entrance onto the regular Performance Center stage… He said “Welcome to Wrestle-” and some distorted video started to play, then the Firefly Fun House theme hit. Wyatt was shown in the Fun House. Wyatt asked “Who are we and why do we do the things that we do?” He said that Cena’s about to face his most dangerous opponent yet – himself. He walked through the door… the camera cut and Cena suddenly appeared in the Funhouse.
Ramblin’ Rabbit showed up and said that Bray went that way, through the door. Cena went into the door… and ended up in a completely dark room. Suddenly, the Vince McMahon puppet showed up. “Do you have enough Ruthless Aggression to make the necessary sacrifices of mind, body and soul to be a success in this company? Show me… or you’re fired!”
Clips were shown of Cena’s WWE debut against Kurt Angle. Wyatt was in the ring, playing the role of Kurt Angle. He challenged someone to come down and challenge him… Cena showed up dressed in the same tights from his WWE debut. He said “ruthless aggression” and kept trying to punch Wyatt, but Wyatt ducked.
Mercy the Buzzard (dressed as Macho Man) sat at a commentary table with the Vince McMahon puppet. The Saturday Night’s Main Event intro was shown…
Wyatt was shown cutting an 80s style promo behind some prison bars. He introduced his partner… and Cena showed up and also started cutting a promo. Cena was lifting weights then his arms suddenly went limp… This is very difficult to recap… You’re gonna have to just watch this…
Wyatt tossed Cena and he showed up in his “thuganomics” gimmick. He entered the ring with Wyatt. He started rapping at Wyatt… called him a disappointment and said he’s blowing every chance. Wyatt looked upset and said “How dare you talk to me about chances… You’re the golden goose. Your chances are unlimited. But you’re not a hero. You’re a bully. You’re a horrible person. You take the weaknesses of others and you turn them into jokes. You would do anything for fame. Congratulations. You’re the man now, John! Poor, lonely John Cena. This is your last chance. The floor is yours.” Cena rapped again. “All you get is deez nuts all up in your face.” He ran at Wyatt, but Wyatt disappeared and showed up behind Cena, then punched him in the head and knocked him down.
Wyatt next was sitting on a chair dressed as his old Wyatt Family gimmick… They showed replays of their old WrestleMania match. Wyatt said it was his grandest failure. But now it’s time to rewrite his story. “Run.” Wyatt started dancing in the ring with Cena’s lifeless body. He went for Sister Abigail, but Cena broke free… Wyatt grabbed a chair, but Cena grabbed it from him. Wyatt yelled at him to hit him. Cena swung, but Wyatt disappeared.
Wyatt next showed up in the ring dressed as Eric Bischoff, wearing an nWo Wolfpac shirt and leather jacket. He introduced John Cena… and Cena entered wearing an nWo shirt. The McMahon puppet said “this is such good shit” at the announce table. Cena started attacking Wyatt, repeatedly punching him. But Wyatt turned into the Huskus the Pig puppet.
The Fiend showed up behind Cena in the ring… Mandible Claw… Sister Abigail. Mandible Claw again… Funhouse Wyatt showed up as a ref and counted to three… The Fiend posed in the ring as Cena vanished… “Let me in.” Cut to black. Alright… That was good.
Winner: Bray Wyatt (13:00)
They cut to Titus O’Neil looking confused. He said “I don’t know what I just saw…”
They promoted Money in the Bank on May 10… Interesting.
WWE Championship
Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Drew McIntyre
The bell rang and Lesnar immediately attacked McIntyre. But McIntyre tossed him into the turnbuckles and nailed him with a Claymore! 1-2-no… He went for another Claymore, but Lesnar moved. German suplex! And a second. And a third big German suplex. F5 by Lesnar! But McIntyre kicked out at 1…
Lesnar looked furious. And a second F5… McIntyre kicked out at 2. He went for a third… and hit it. 1-2-no… Lesnar screamed in frustration.
McIntyre crawled at Lesnar’s leg… Lesnar picked him up for another F5, but McIntyre escaped and hit a Claymore! He waited for Lesnar to get up and hit him with another Claymore! Lesnar got up onto his knees… another Claymore! McIntyre went for the pin… 1-2-3… New WWE Champion.
Winner and new WWE Champion: Drew McIntyre (4:35)
Paul Heyman looked stunned at ringside. McIntyre grabbed his WWE Championship and celebrated emotionally. He got up on the corner, pounded on his chest and said “Everyone’s here with me tonight. Everyone’s right here” as the show went off the air.
