Video Package: Drew McIntyre defeats Big Show to retain the WWE Championship 20 minutes after the conclusion of WrestleMania 36
McIntyre says he beat Brock Lesnar and Big Show back-to-back. He hopes that sets the tone for his title reign going forward. He’s a champion that will show up and defend. If a WWE Superstar deserves an opportunity at the title, they’ll get an opportunity at the title. McIntyre can’t articulate just how much the title means to him…
United States Champion Andrade makes his way to the stage with Zelina Vega. Vega says she wants to introduce McIntyre to the real champion of Raw, the United States Champion Andrade. McIntyre says, “…and the crowd goes mild.” McIntyre knows who Andrade is. Vega sarcastically apologizes for interrupting his speech and mocks his accent. They just want to congratulate McIntyre in person. Who else can say they had two WrestleMania moments in one night? While McIntyre was having those two moments, her associate had an injury that robbed him of his. Coming off the biggest night in McIntyre’s career, it would be a shame if someone injured McIntyre and took the title.
McIntyre says he remembers what happened the last time they fought. McIntyre went in as NXT Champion and he left with his bicep torn and six months of his career gone. Andrade left as the NXT Champion. If Andrade wants this match, champion vs. champion, he’s got it tonight. Andrade says the last time he took his title and took him out. Tonight, no more Señor Nice Guy.

Lynch wants to clear up some of the confusion. She told Baszler that this would be a test of heart vs. skill, but it was actually a battle of the mind. A lot has been said about The Man. Maybe she’s arrogant and let the title run get to her head or maybe she used it to get to Baszler. The only person that can get close enough to the queen to destroy her is the joker she sees as posing no threat. That’s why she’s the threat. Someone who was born to bully will never beat someone who is designed to survive.
