As noted before, WWE announced that this year’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view event will feature a unique twist, with both Money in the Bank Ladder matches taking place at WWE headquarters in Stamford, CT.
Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp reported (via Fightful Select) that talent was flown to WWE’s headquarters this past Tuesday and shooting took almost a whole day to complete, starting from early in the morning and ending near midnight.
Sapp also reported that multiple matches were taped simultaneously and production was stated to be tedious with a lot of “hurry up and wait” moments for the next shots to be set up.
It was also reported that the matches were shot in a cinematic style but it is currently not known if these Money in the Bank matches were produced similar to the Boneyard match, Firefly Fun House match, or the Tommaso Ciampa vs. Johnny Gargano match from NXT.
Talent reportedly were also doing their best to stay warm during the shoot at WWE’s headquarters due to them having to go from standing around doing nothing to performing spots on short notices.
