NJPW announced that they have canceled 11 shows in Japan that were scheduled from March 1-15 due to “recommendations by the Japanese Ministry of Health connected to the new Coronavirus COVID-19.”

Shows canceled include the NJPW Anniversary Tour and the New Japan Cup.
The first detected case of the COVID-19 coronavirus in Japan was on January 28 and there have been a total of 847 confirmed cases as of today in or just offshore of Japan, with six deaths, according to the New York Times.
Last week, Stardom also canceled several shows in Japan because of coronavirus fears.

NJPW events March 1-15 canceled
In light of recommendations made on February 26 by the Japanese Ministry of Health connected to the new Coronavirus COVID-19, New Japan Pro-Wrestling has arrived at the decision to cancel all live events scheduled between Sunday March 1 and Sunday March 15.
Further announcements will be made at a later date. All ticket holders will be refunded. Please check njpw1972.com and social media in the coming days for details on the refund procedure.
