WWE: UK TV Deal Update, New Network Show Update, Deonna Purrazzo on Her RAW Debut

BT Sport Announces NXT and NXT UK Will Air on TV in the U.K.

As noted before, WWE announced in June of last year that they had signed a new television deal in the United Kingdom with BT Sport and would be leaving their longtime network home Sky Sports at the end of 2019.

BT Sport recently announced on Twitter that their television deal with WWE includes both NXT and NXT UK being aired on their network with NXT to air live weekly in the United Kingdom.

You want NXT? You got it.

More Details on WWE Network’s Upcoming New “Break It Down” Series

As noted before, WWE will be debuting a brand new series called WWE Break It Down on the WWE Network on January 5th at 8PM EST.

WWENetworkNews reported that each episode of this new series will feature a WWE Superstar breaking down the most famous and memorable moments of their career in the company. The first episode reportedly will be featuring Drew McIntyre as the guest while a pilot episode of the series featuring Seth Rollins was recently released by WWE on YouTube.

Deonna Purrazzo Comments on Her Recent RAW Debut

WWE held a recent interview with Deonna Purrazzo discussing her thoughts on her debut appearance on RAW last month and debuting on the brand on the same day as her friend Chelsea Green.

“It’s weird that, in a good way, we were brought together. But I wish we were tagging then it’s like, no pressure, and you get to do it with your best friend.

The crazy part is that it’s the first time I got to wrestle as me on such a big stage. I think that’s where my nerves came from. ‘Oh, I get to be the actual Deonna Purrazzo.’ This is a moment for me, which I’ve never really gotten before. Moments like this make it worthwhile. Now, to go back to the Performance Center — 8 am, I have a gym class — it’s motivating because ‘okay, now I have to be in better shape’ and all the things that come with being a WWE superstar, I can implement at the PC.

Chelsea and I have shared such a similar path, so getting the text together and being able to travel together, we didn’t know what to expect. We were like, ‘think the worst, so any good thing will be grand.’ There’s no one else I would have wanted to do this with. It’s a good way to finish the year. Together.”
