In-Ring: The Miz, John Morrison, The New Day
WWE Smackdown kicks off with Miz TV. The host of the show The Miz wearing his ring attire walks down to the ring. We see clips of last Friday’s show where The Miz lost to Kofi Kingston and where Miz would attack Kofi afterwards.
The fans boo Miz as he welcomes everyone to Miz TV. He says since last Friday and the incident with Kofi, people have said that he has changed. He says he was having a bad day. We’ve all bad days and Kofi came up with all of his positivity, trying to cheer him up and sometimes you just don’t want to smile. Sometimes when someone tells you to smile, you just want to punch them in the face and that’s what he did.
Miz says he let his emotions and temper get the best of him and he wants to say he is sorry. But he has been going through a lot this month. The Fiend Bray Wyatt threatened his daughter and when he went to take the one thing that he cherishes the most, which is the Universal title, he failed. But there has been one bright spot and that is the return of someone that is like family to him. The biggest guest in Miz TV history, John Morrison!
His music hits and Morrison dressed in dark jeans and a jacket walks down with pyro going off behind him. The Smackdown side panel during his entrance reminds us that he is the winner of the 2003 WWE Tough Enough competition.
He gets in the ring as the fans chant “Welcome back”. Miz says welcome back John Morrison! He says this is truly awesome! John Morrison and The Miz, the greatest tag team of the 21st century in the ring at the same time. Miz reminds everyone that Morrison is a three time Intercontinental champion and a 5 time tag team champion, two of which were won alongside The Miz. We see a video package highlighting John Morrison’s WWE career.
Miz says from the bottom of my heart, welcome back. John says it feels good to be back and he doesn’t know what to say. They were filming a chronicle leading up to his return, at the Royal Rumble he will get a new entrance and it was going to be epic. But when he saw what Miz was going through and they had that talk, there’s nothing more important than being there for one of your best friends. He comes to Smackdown last week and he is glad he did. Because they talked again and he realized that he’s disappointed. Morrison says he is disappointed in the fans. His friend has one bad day and they all chant you suck?
Morrison says he wants to talk about it. Miz has worked harder for 15 years than anyone else on the roster. No one thought he would make it but he worked his way into being a WWE champion. And still he’s only his dad’s fourth favorite wrestler? Miz jokes and says fifth, he likes Kofi better.
John says but because Miz has a bad day, the fans ignore all of that hard work because they don’t get it. Miz does what he does but for all the fans and they don’t appreciate it. They’ve never been in the ring. Morrison points to a fan and says if we could imagine what they would say if that douchebag got in the ring.
Big E’s voice is heard and it’s The New Day who come out. Out come the WWE Smackdown tag team champions. Kofi says he has a question for The Miz. Who is trying to fool? Who? Is he seriously trying to blame the WEW Universe for turning their backs on him? Big E says they didn’t buy that apology. He’s not that good of an actor. He couldn’t even get cast as the bottom end of the human centipede. Kofi says he would have respected him so much more if he would have stopped at he had a bad day but instead he is complaining/.
Kofi says we all have bad days and he could have stopped there. Miz says he respects the fact that Kofi was WWE champion for 6 months. He held the most prestigious and honorable title in all of WWE for six months. He respects the six seconds it took him to lose it. He also respects the fact that he chose to smile and ignore the fact that he didn’t go after the WWE championship. That’s what he respects.
Kofi says again, it was 8 seconds, not six. And that was clear. Whats also clear is that The Miz is changing. Yeah, he sees it. He’s changing based on what they have said tonight and last week. He is changing from cool Miz to obnoxious, annoying Miz. And what that means is that the people are correct when they say that he sucks. The fans start to chant “You suck”.

Love is so special but not everyone is worthy of that. He’s looking at you Daniel Bryan. Whatever the opposite of love is, that’s the way that he feels about you Bryan. And he can’t say he blames him. Lately, he’s been pretty naughty, real freaking naughty. He’s going to shoot straight. You are in a heap of trouble at the Royal Rumble. At first, he just wanted you to remember as we see flashes of years ago involving Bryan and The Wyatt family.

In-Ring: Elias
Elias is in the ring. He says he has one question, who wants to walk with Elias? He says he wrote a song called “The road to the Rumble” and he needs the fans to clap along. He sings it:
“Here we go… I see ‘ya… That feels good don’t it? Here we go… Roman Reigns, winning the Rumble… Not if Elias has anything to say. See I got nothing against the big dog, he’s gonna lose like Randy, AJ and Ricochet. Lets not forget about Erick Rowan… Whatever is in that cage, it cant escape. Its gotta be pretty horrifying to look at, could it be worse than Lana and Lashley’s sex tape? Probably not! Brock Lesnar thinks the roster is unworthy, he made tat much clear, well Brock its easy to hide behind that opinion, especially given the fact that you’re never here.
Well how does Elias compare? To a guy like Brock? But for one I’ve got a personality and unlike him, I’m not afraid to talk. So when I beat him for the title, oh I’ll gladly show Brock the door. But first when it comes to the Royal Rumble, I’m gonna show him what WWE stands for.”
