The former Wade Barrett, going by his real name Stu Bennett, has joined the NWA commentary team and will start at the NWA Into the Fire PPV on December 14. He’ll be their color commentary man going forward alongside Joe Galli, and will be at the next set of NWA Powerrr tapings on December 15 and 16 in Atlanta.

Bennett will be replacing Jim Cornette, who resigned from the NWA last month after a joke he made on commentary sparked backlash from some people online.
The NWA also released a brief video thanking Jim Cornette for his time with the NWA.

Bennett was released from WWE in May 2016. He hasn’t officially wrestled since, but has done commentary for World of Sport Wrestling, What Culture Pro Wrestling and has had non-wrestling roles in other promotions.
