Match and show star ratings (out of 5):
WWE
WWE TLC (Dec. 15)
* Pre-Show – Andrade vs. Humberto Carrillo – 3.0
* SmackDown Tag Team Championship Ladder Match – The Revival vs. The New Day (c) – 3.0
* Buddy Murphy vs. Aleister Black – 3.5
* Raw Tag Team Championship Open Challenge – The O.C. vs. The Viking Raiders (c) – 2.0
* Tables, Ladders, & Chairs match – King Corbin vs. Roman Reigns – 2.0
* The Miz vs. Bray Wyatt – 1.0
* Tables match – Rusev vs. Bobby Lashley – 1.5
* WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Tables, Ladders, & Chairs match – Becky Lynch & Charlotte Flair vs. The Kabuki Warriors (c) – 2.5
Overall – 2.0
Best – Daniel Bryan’s surprise return. Worst – The ending to the PPV.
Show Notes – SmackDown tag title match was decent. Ending to the RAW tag title match was terrible and whole thing was just one really long ad for KFC. Corbin vs. Reigns was an overbooked mess at the end. Main event went back and forth being an entertaining train wreck and an overbooked mess but still better than the dumb ending to the show that completely overshadowed the match.
WWE RAW (Oct. 16)
* The Viking Raiders vs. The O.C. – 3.0
* Erick Rowan vs. Dante Leon – 1.0 (Squash)
* #1 Contender for United States Championship Gauntlet match – R-Truth vs. Akira Tozawa vs. Ricochet vs. Matt Hardy vs. Humberto Carrillo vs. Andrade – 1.5
* Asuka vs. Deonna Purrazzo – 2.0
* Randy Orton vs. AJ Styles – 2.5
Overall – 1.5
Best – Viking Raiders vs. The O.C. match. Worst – Majority of the Gauntlet match.
Show Notes – Viking Raiders vs. OC match was better than the one they had at TLC. The never-ending Lana-Rusev infidelity storyline still a strong contender for worst WWE storyline of the year. R-Truth’s promo was hilarious. Gauntlet match was way too slow paced and mostly dull overall. Rollins challenging for Mysterio’s title made the whole Gauntlet match be useless in the end. Main event was decent at best. Not a good episode of RAW.
NXT (Dec. 18)
* NXT Championship – Finn Balor vs. Adam Cole (c) – 4.0
* Damian Priest vs. Killian Dain – 3.0
* Cameron Grimes vs. KUSHIDA – 3.5
* Io Shirai vs. Santana Garrett – 2.5
* Pete Dunne vs. Travis Banks – 3.0
* NXT Women’s Championship – Rhea Ripley vs. Shayna Baszler (c) – 3.5
Overall – 4.0
Best – NXT Championship match. Worst – Very little non-in-ring stuff during the show.
Show Notes – NXT Championship match was great. Dusty Classic returning next year should be good. Grimes vs. KUSHIDA match was very good but not a fan of the result. NXT Women’s Championship match was very good and even better, Baszler’s boring run as champion and time on top is over. NXT was very good overall.
NXT UK (Dec. 19)
Overall – 3.0
Best – Tyler Bate vs. Noam Dar match. Worst – Jinny vs. Amale match.
Show Notes – Bate vs. Dar match was very good. The show itself did a good job building up more of TakeOver Blackpool II’s card.
WWE Friday Night SmackDown (Dec. 20)
* Miracle on 34th Street Fight – Heavy Machinery vs. The Revival – 2.5
* Carmella vs. Sonya Deville – 1.0 (Squash)
* The New Day vs. Cesaro & Shinsuke Nakamura – 3.0
* Bayley vs. Dana Brooke – 2.0
* Lacey Evans vs. Sasha Banks – 1.0
* Daniel Bryan & The Miz vs. Dolph Ziggler & King Corbin – 3.0
Overall – 2.0
Best – , Worst – Lacey Evans vs. Sasha Banks match.
Show Notes – Opening segment was doing pretty well until Corbin showed up. Miracle on 34th Street Fight was decent but Revival becoming comedic goofs was bad. Lacey Evans vs. Sasha Banks match was terrible and same goes for their feud together. Ending to the main event tag team match was very good. SmackDown was a very skippable show overall.
AEW
AEW Dark (Dec. 17)
* Private Party vs. SCU – 3.0
* Machiko vs. Britt Baker – 1.5 (Squash)
* Bea Priestley vs. Kris Statlander – 3.0
* The Hybrid 2 & PAC vs. Best Friends & Orange Cassidy – 3.5
Overall – 3.0
Best – The crowd going crazy for Orange Cassidy during the six-man tag match. Worst – Machiko vs. Britt Baker match.
Show Notes – Vickie Guerrero was decent as guest commentator. Priestley vs. Statlander was pretty good overall. Joey Janela’s playful dig at Jim Cornette’s infamous joke on NWA Powerrr was funny. Six-man tag team match was very good overall. Enjoyable episode of AEW Dark this week.
AEW Dynamite (Dec. 18)
* The Lucha Brothers vs. Kenny Omega & “Hangman” Adam Page – 3.5
* The Butcher & The Blade vs. Darby Allin & Cody – 3.5
* Awesome Kong vs. Miranda Alize – 1.0 (Squash)
* Chris Jericho vs. Jungle Boy – 4.0
* Kris Statlander vs. Britt Baker – 3.0
* AEW World Tag Team Championship – The Young Bucks vs. SCU (c) – 3.5
Overall – 4.0
Best – Chris Jericho vs. Jungle Boy match. Worst – Nightmare Collective segment.
Show Notes – The hype segments for Jungle Boy were very good. Jungle Boy vs. Jericho was a great use of a time limit draw. Main event was very good overall and so was the Dark Order stuff at the end. Corpus Christi crowd remaining hot throughout the show was a big surprise. One of the best episodes of Dynamite overall.
