AEW Considering Plans of Debuting a New Mid-Card Championship in the Near Future

All Elite Wrestling held a Full Gear media call yesterday with Cody as the host and one of the topics discussed included current plans for another championship belt to debut in the company.

Cody stated that this championship would be for the company’s mid-card talent and would be considered at the same level as the classic WWE Intercontinental Championship in terms of status and importance for rising star talent. He also stated that this new championship could be making its debut as early as next month.

Cody also mentioned that AEW wants all of their championships to be given the same treatment in terms of prestige as their AEW World Championship.
