Kylie Rae commented on her departure from AEW for the first time publicly on her Instagram account, saying, “I’ve always tried to be a good person but I make many mistakes along the way. I needed to get my mind, body, and soul right with God. I wish I had the answers but the truth is I don’t.”
I don’t know how to start this and I can’t speak on others behalves. I can only speak for myself and what’s in my heart. I don’t know many rumors and honestly try to stay away from everything, obviously 😅. But here: nobody made me leave. AEW took my career to new levels and I’m beyond grateful for every opportunity and experience that has come along the way and wish nothing but the best. It’s a great group of people who truly love wrestling and just want everyone to succeed. I’ve always tried to be a good person but I make many mistakes along the way. I needed to get my mind, body, and soul right with God. I wish I had the answers but the truth I don’t. We all go through obstacles in life and we may want all the answers but we don’t need them. It’s God’s plan and he has shown me what’s truly important in life and to find a blessing in every moment because in the blink of an eye, everything can be gone. So instead of bashing, let’s just love one another and appreciate what we have, or something like that lol sorry I’m awkward. 😂❤️🙏🏼
Kylie Rae requested her release from AEW after wrestling in only one match at Double or Nothing on May 25.
In a post-All Out press conference on August 31, Tony Khan said, “She asked for her release and we granted it. She called me and asked if she could be released from her contract and it was pretty simple. I said yeah and asked her if everything was OK and she said yeah. She didn’t want to be with the company anymore. We talked about it and it was very simple. So yeah, she’s not on our roster. Amicable. She’s a very nice person.”
After an almost four month absence, Rae returned to the ring at an indie show on September 22. She has since worked several more indie shows and wrestled in a battle royal at Impact’s Bound for Glory PPV last month.
There was apparently a rumor going around that Brandi Rhodes had something to do with why Kylie Rae left. Brandi denied that publicly on Twitter last week, and Kylie Rae has now denied that.
No. If that were true “literally everyone” would be saying it in public.
