This past week’s episodes of AEW Dynamite and NXT both saw declines in viewership, and mixed results in the key demographic rankings. AEW Dynamite drew 1,014,000 viewers on TNT and a #5 ranking in 18-49 demographic while NXT drew 711,000 viewers on USA Network and a #30 ranking in 18-49 demographic.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that while AEW Dynamite was ranked fifth overall, the show was ranked second for the night in their time slot for the 18-49 demographic and ranked first for their time slot in the males 18-49 demographic. Dynamite drew a 0.20 in the 12-17 demographic (down 13%), 0.29 in the 18-34 demo (down 12.1%), 0.59 in the 35-49 demo (no change), and 0.33 in the 50+ demo (up 10%). AEW’s biggest gain for the night was the Kenny Omega & Adam Page vs. Jon Moxley & PAC tag team match with a 4.3% audience gain and their biggest decline was the AEW Women’s Championship match of Britt Baker vs. Riho with a 9.2% audience loss.
NXT drew a 0.14 in the 12-17 demographic (up 40%), 0.14 in the 18-34 demo (down 6.7%), 0.26 in the 35-49 demo (down 10.3%), and 0.35 in the 50+ demo (down 12.5%). NXT’s biggest gain was in the teenage boys demographic and biggest decline was in the 50+ demographic.
