— All Elite Wrestling on TNT (@AEWonTNT) October 10, 2019
J.R., Tony and Excalibur run down tonight’s card and then we cut to a video package highlighting The Young Bucks and Private Party. Clips of their matches along with them talking about their careers also run during the video package. While The Young Bucks say that they believe they’ve been the best tag team of the last decade, Private Party acknowledges they are probably the least known team in the tournament and they feel a sense of needing to prove themselves.
SCU and Jack Evans/Angelico are shown watching this match in the crowd. A member of Atlas Security opens a rope – like at a night club – for Private Party as they come to the ring.
Kassidy and Nick will start the match off. They exchange some chain wrestling and Jackson attempts a number of Superkicks early on but Kassidy is able to sidestep him. Nick spits his gum at Kassidy and uses Kassidy’s frustration to catch him with a neckbreaker in the ropes. Matt tags in and knocks Quen off the ropes and then hits a Neckbreaker/Gutbuster combination with his brother on Kassidy.
The Bucks isolate Kassidy in their corner and take turns working on his arm, while making quick tags. They attempt a Double Suplex but Kassidy lands on his feet and sends Matt to the floor. Kassidy then slides to the floor but Matt tosses him over his shoulder onto the apron. Kassidy then hits a beautiful Asai Moonsault onto Matt! Quen tags in and he tosses Nick to the floor and then hits a pair of suicide dives onto both members of the Bucks followed by a somersault plancha and then a Fossbury Flop! The fans are going nuts now!
Quen tosses Nick back into the ring and hits a 450-Splash off the top for an awesome nearfall! The Bucks are able to come back with a Superkick Party on Quen and then one for Kassidy, as well, after Quen took a little too much time gloating.
Matt Powerbombs Kassidy onto the ramp on the floor and then Nick kills Quen with a Flying Knee. The Bucks lift Quen up to the top and hit the Powerbomb/Sliced Bread combo for a nearfall followed by Nick floating right over into the Sharpshooter! A huge “tap” chant starts but Quen is able to get to the ropes to break the hold.
The Bucks go back to isolated Quen in their corner and connect with a Double Hip Toss followed by a Double Basement Dropkick for another nearfall. Matt catapults Quen into an Enziguri from Nick followed by a Springboard Ghetto Stomp as Quen was laid out over the knees of Matt. Bucks go for another Superkick Party but Quen is able to avoid it and dive for a tag, but Nick catches him and tosses him into the Bucks’ corner.
Quen leapfrogs over a charging Nick but before he can make the tag, Matt snatches Kassidy off the apron. Nick then Spears the hell out of Quen for another nearfall. The Bucks go for a Double Suplex but Quen blocks it and hits a Pele Kick and tags in Kassidy!
Kassidy hits a Double Missile Dropkick off the top onto The Bucks and then Kassidy’s back seems to go out as he nips up to his feet. Still, Kassidy hits a Double Rana on The Bucks that send them down to the floor. Kassidy grabs Nick and hits a series of forearms before Nick knees in the back to work on that injury.
Nick tries to toss Kassidy over the top but his partner catches him and rolls him back in the ring for an attempt at a Tornado DDT, but Nick blocks it and hits the Locomotion Northern Lights Suplex! He caps ti off with a Double Northern Lights on both members of Private Party!
Matt hits a Buckle Bomb on Kassidy followed by an Enziguri from Nick and then Matt locks in the Sharpshooter as Nick takes care of Quen on the floor. Just as Kassidy almost reaches the ropes, Nick springboards into an X-Factor on Kassidy and rolls right back into a Moonsault off the apron onto Quen on the floor!
Still, Kassidy manages to reach the ropes finally and break the hold! Quen blind tags as Nick set up for a Samoan Drop. Reverse Rana from Kassidy on Nick followed by the Gin & Juice on Matt! Quen hits a beautiful Shooting Star Press off the top on Matt! 1…2…NO SIR! Matt still kicks out and Quen cannot believe it!
Quen tries to whip Matt into the ropes but he counters into an attempt at the Meltzer Driver, but Kassidy pulls Nick off the apron and then Quen rolls Matt up for the shocking pin!
Winners: Private Party via pinfall (rollup)
In-Ring: Chris Jericho, Jake Hager, Sammy Guevara, Ortis & Santana
THE INNER CIRCLE ARE HERE #AEWDynamite #AEWBoston pic.twitter.com/4VcG0iTCEV
— All Elite Wrestling (@AEWrestling) October 10, 2019
Back from the break, Chris Jericho leads his band of misfits – Ortiz and Santana, Sammy Guevara and Jake Hager – own to the ring.
“My name is Chris Jericho and I AM Le Champion of AEW,” Jericho says as he picks up the microphone. Jericho says that AEW took the world by storm and says that it was the biggest premiere in TNT history and it’s all because of him. Hager is standing in the back and just staring ahead stone faced.
“We are next, we are now,” Jericho says of his group. “Let me explain who we are and what we are about.”
Jericho calls Guevara a “sexy, Spanish God” and calls him one of the greatest performers he’s ever seen at his age. Jericho says Guevara is on his “list.” Jericho says that Santana and Ortiz are dirtier and nastier than they have ever been and that he personally recruited them to AEW because of that. “That’s why they made my list, Viva la Raza,” he says as an “Eddie” chant erupts.
Jericho says that Hager is not just a former World Champion but he is the toughest and most feared MMA fighter in the world. The fans chant “We the people” but Jericho says that sucks and it’s dead and buried and it was a “stupid idea from bad creative and all that is gone.” Jericho said that Hager will fight anyone from any place.
“This is my inner circle… WE ARE THE INNER CIRCLE, baby!,” Jericho names his group. Jericho says that no matter who thinks they are in charge in AEW, THEY are in charge now. Jericho cuts a promo on Cody and says that he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and he hates his family. Jericho says he didn’t like Dusty and he doesn’t like Dustin either.
“I’m going to beat the ever loving shit out you,” Jericho says of Cody Rhodes. “Then we’re going to walk the streets of Baltimore and have a little bit of the bubbly in celebration! We are The Inner Circle!”
AEW World Heavyweight Championship #1 Contenders Match
Jimmy Havoc vs. Darby Allin
. @DarbyAllin isn't giving up without a fight! #AEWDynamite #AEWBoston pic.twitter.com/PrPNMsIChv
— All Elite Wrestling (@AEWrestling) October 10, 2019
The winner of this match gets a shot at the World Title next week.
As Havoc makes his way to the ring, Havoc says – in a backstage split screen promo – that he has been working towards this chance for 15 years and has put himself through unimaginable pain to get here. “I like the violence… I like the pain,” Havoc screams. “Tonight Darby Allin, you get to feel my pain!”
Footage of Allin’s match with Cody at “Fyter Fest” is shown, in which he took Cody to a time limit draw. Allin defeated CIMA on the debut AEW Dark, which was taped last week and aired last night on Youtube.
Allin offers Havoc a handshake but Havoc offers a right hand instead only for Allin to roll him up with a La Magistral Cradle for a quick nearfall. Havoc catches Allin with his own rollup for a nearfall and then spits in his face.
Darby hits a beautiful springboard arm drag followed by a Running Back Elbow in the corner. Allin hits a Running Dropkick sending Havoc crashing into the turnbuckles. As Havoc rolls to the apron, Allin attempts to Suplex him back into the ring. Havoc bites his hand and then Superplexes Allin over the top rope onto the floor!
Havoc rolls Allin back in the ring and gets a nearfall and then starts to taunt him with slaps and kicks. Havoc bends Allin’s fingers back and then stomps on them. Havoc whips Allin into the corner and then goes back to biting the fingers of Allin as the fans reign down boos at him.
Havoc locks in a Hanging Sleeper from the top turnbuckle on Allin and then transitions into a Sleeper Suplex! Allin rolls to the floor as we go to a break.
Havoc hits a Death Valley Driver into the turnbuckles for a nearfall and then hits a Tiger Driver ’98 for yet another nearfall. Havoc can’t believe that Allin kicked out and then Allin shocks him with a crucifix rollup for a nearfall.
Havoc gets pissed and starts stomping Allin in the face before going for the Acid Rainmaker, but Allin bites Havoc’s hands and hits a Somersault Stunner followed by the Coffin Drop for the pin!
Winner: Allin via pinfall (Coffin Drop)
Bea Priestley & Emi Sakura vs. Riho & Dr. Britt Baker
This is far from over between @realbrittbaker & @BeaPriestley #AEWDynamite #AEWBoston pic.twitter.com/jgZZTrCPqW
— All Elite Wrestling (@AEWrestling) October 10, 2019
The story here is that Sakura is a Japanese wrestling legend and actually trained Riho, who became the inaugural AEW Women’s Champion last week. A couple of months ago Baker suffered a concussion due to a kick from Priestly in a match, so there are all kinds of storylines to this one.
Riho and Sakura will start the match off against one another. Sakura whips her protégé into the ropes and then counters a cross body block with a slam for a nearfall. Riho escapes the pin attempt with a bridge up and then a dropkick. Riho tries to slam Sakura but she blocks her and tosses Riho clear across the ring by her hair.
Sakura trash talks Baker as Priestly chokes Riho in the heel corner. Sakura with a Scoop Slam and then she locks in the Romero Special before tagging Priestley in. Priestley immediately knocks Baker off the apron and then whips her into the guardrail!
Baker comes back with a Thesz Press as the referee is trying to separate them on the floor and Sakura just keeps choking Riho. Sakura comes out and helps Priestley Double Suplex Baker on the floor, but out of nowhere Riho dives off the top with a Plancha onto Priestley and Sakura!
The match continues in split screen form during the break. Riho and Baker manager to come back with a series of knees on the heels but Priestley cuts them off and tosses Riho into the ropes only to eat a Spinning Headscissors followed by the 619 for a nearfall!
Baker tags into the match but eats a Diving Ghetto Stomp to the back of the head out of nowhere from Priestley! Sakura kicks Baker and Priestley covers her for a nearfall. Priestley attempts a T-Bone Suplex but Baker counters and attempts a clothesline only for Priestley to counter right back into a Half Nelson Suplex into a bridging pin for a nearfall.
Riho breaks up the pin and then nails Sakura with a Flying Knee only to eat a roundhouse kick from Priestley! Baker and Priestley start killing each other with forearm smashes until Priestley eats a Ghetto Stomp from Riho off the top followed by a DDT for a nearfall. Sakura broke up the pin an then dragged Priestley to the corner and tags her.
Sakura hits a Butterfly Backbreaker on Baker and then hits a Running Cross Body in the corner. Sakura hits a Vader Bomb off the middle rope for a nearfall. Sakura goes for a Tiger Driver but Baker blocks it and hits a Cutter. Riho then runs in and catches Sakura with a rollup into a Ghetto Stomp. Riho knocks Priestley off the apron and Baker hits an STO on Sakura for a nearfall.
Baker hits a Ripcord Forearm followed by a Neckbreaker an then a Rings of Saturn! As she has Sakura in the Rings of Saturn, she uses her free arm to lock in a Mandible Claw at the same time for the submission!
Winners: Baker & Riho via submission (Rings of Saturn/Mandible Claw)
After the match Baker and Priestley get in each other’s faces again as Riho and the referee try to separate them.

The Best Friends are shown hugging in a vignette and then they are interviewed at ringside. They’re asked how they feel about the tag tournament but Chuck Taylor says to ask “this guy” and points back to Orange Cassidy who gives a nonchalant thumbs up.

PAC‘s on guest commentary for this one. Moxley gets a huge ovation but is jumped by Spears as he climbs into the ring. PAC complains about Allin and Havoc getting a #1 Contenders Match while he is undefeated. PAC also says that he saved Moxley’s ass after he got hurt and took his spot at Fight For The Fallen.
Moxley hits a Snapmare Takeover on Spears and then a series of kicks followed by a Muta Elbow for a nearfall. Moxley whips Spears into the ropes and connects with a back elbow. Moxley tosses Spears all around ringside, which causes Tully to grab him from behind. Moxley chased Tully around ringside until Spears cut him off. Spears tries to whip Moxley into the guardrail but Moxley reverses it and then hits a flying axe handle off the apron.
Spears is able to catch Moxley with a Jawbreaker in the ropes as he tried to get back in and then he distracts the referee as Tully runs Moxley into the ring steps! Tully distracts the referee now as Spears starts beating Moxley around ringside and tossing him into the ring steps and the guardrail.

Moxley and Spears exchange strikes in the center of the ring, which Moxley gets the better of and caps off with a Lariat. Moxley goes for his finish but Spears counters with a DVD into a neckbreaker for a nearfall. Moxley counters Spears with a Paradigm Shift for the pin!
Winner: Moxley via pinfall (Paradigm Shift)
After the match, Kenny Omega walks onto the stage carrying a broom wrapped in barbed wire and a bat wrapped in barbed wire! Moxley sees him and immediately makes his way up the ramp towards Omega as he sees him.
Omega tosses the bat to Moxley and dares him to pick it up! PAC then blasts Omega from behind with a chair! PAC stares Moxley down and then walks away as Moxley looks down at Omega and seems to be contemplating hitting him with the bat. Moxley stops himself and throws the bat away before walking away.
