In-Ring: Seth Rollins, Braun Strowman
WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring. For the last seven years, he’s done a lot and seen a lot in this ring. Rollins has never felt the way he felt last week on RAW. Rollins was laying in the corner of the ring defenseless after being mugged by five dudes. Then before he knew what was going on, he had the living embodiment of a nightmare in his face. Rollins could only close his eyes and hope it was a bad dream he had to wake up from, but it’s not. It’s worse because in less than two weeks he has to step inside Hell in a Cell and defend his title against “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt. Rollins doesn’t have to tell the crowd what that Hell in a Cell structure can do. It can shorten careers. Entering against Wyatt could be even worse. What does he do? He’ll do what he always does when his back is against the wall: survive and prevail. At SummerSlam, no one gave him a chance against Brock Lesnar. Rollins survived and prevailed. At Clash of Champions, Braun Strowman gave him the fight of his life, but he survived and prevailed. Inside Hell in a Cell, it doesn’t matter what mind games Wyatt comes up with. He’ll survive and prevail.
Braun Strowman’s music cuts him off, and he angrily makes his way to the ring. Strowman grabs a microphone, and a light “Get these hands” chant picks up. Strowman says if Rollins has something to say to him, he can say it to his face. Unlike Rollins’ opponent at Hell in a Cell, he doesn’t pretend to be Mr. Rogers playing psycho games with puppets. If Strowman has a problem, he’ll walk up to his opponent and let him know. Rollins goes to talk, but Strowman says he isn’t done. Not only did Rollins cost him the RAW Tag Team Titles, last week on RAW Rollins said he hoped Strowman didn’t get another opportunity at the title. Rollins says he has a lot on his plate including having to defend his title next week on the season premiere of RAW. Rollins was hoping Strowman wouldn’t get another opportunity for the time being, but the way he’s talking to him makes him want to fight. Strowman asks if that’s a challenge, and Rollins says it is. Strowman says Rollins will get these hands. They talk trash to each other as Strowman’s music plays.
